the danger of a paticular drug is relative to each person. to say meth is a bad idea but adderall or ritialin is not sounds ignorant to me. Im in college, and see alot of fellow anti-drug students pop ritalin like candy because they think its not even close to meth, because its a common, prescription med, so it must be risk free right?

when meth is used infrequently by someone who takes the time to become knowledgable about meth and all its potential side effects, someone who is aware and concerned with its addictive qualities, i think it can be no more harmful that drugs like ritalin and adderall

1. Most people can handle schoolwork and social responsibilities...it's not THAT hard to balance the two if you work at it. Certainly not hard enough that it requires meth these days.

2. I seriously doubt that Adderall or Ritalin will be more harmful to him than meth. Sure, I'm sure there are some extremely rare people who would be harmed more by a amph. addiction than a methamp. addiction. There's a damn good reason Desoxyn (legal meth) isn't as prescribed as regularly as Adderall or Ritalin; it's more likely to be abused, it has worse side effects, and is all around more dangerous.

To the original poster: read through the archives of this forum and do a search on "meth." After a while you'll see a disturbing trend...about 90% of the threads dealing with meth put it in a negative light - there's some horribly depressing and scary shit in there. There are some posters who were all about it when they first tried it, but as you follow their posts through the months you'll start to see how much they regreted ever trying it in the first place. Personally I've known too many people back in high school who detoured their lives fucking with it, I hope you know what you're getting into!
 
the color doesn't come from the red sudafed pills with phsudeoephedrine.......when the shit is being made.....those pills are crushed up, and through the process, a chemical is mixed with the pills, so the end product is just ephedrine, in a pure white powder form......

I'm familiar with the process, and the pink color can in fact be from not rinsing the pills well enough or not bothering to do it at all. I've seen this happen with my own eyes with both methamphetamine and methcathinone synths. I'm sure it could be one of the things you mentioned also, or a number of other things. In any event, if the end product has any color at all, the cook did a shabby job. I'm not saying it wont be good though.
 
This is not merely DRUG USE...this is REGULAR
(couple times/week) DRUG USE. There is a barely visible line between regular use and addiction. If you don't know that blah, then you are an ignorant fool.
 
It is not about opinion, it is about ACCURATE INFORMATION, which you are NOT providing.

No offense people but cant you keep your bickering private, as has been mentioned several times the emphasis is on harm reduction thats all I'm looking for. I don't want you to make my decisions for me I want you to help inform me so I can make them myself.

I've done many searches and read lots of the archives and was just looking now for first hand answers.

I wouldnt be railing or smoking it I would be taking it orrally.
 
You need to calm down blah. And I think you're missing the point. The key word here is REGULAR. I'm too am inclined to say that REGULAR use of meth will result in an addiction for the vast majority of people.
 
Besides the few off topic posts I've been pleasantly surprised with the replys so far, let me see if there is anything I car think off off hand ...

The only thing i can think off would be are there any dangerous combos to stay away from? I've tried to slow down for school but I'm not stopping my casual drug use.

The dosage quesiton was pretty much fluff, Can't tell till i try it really.
 
Draist, I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this, as it's gone so off-topic.

For dosage, if you have no tolerance (amphetamines are cross tolerant) then 20 mg of good quality meth is a good studying dose. If you have a tolerance then more like 30 is necessary. And more than 20 mg if you have bad quality meth.

I will also say that I agree with others who have said that meth can be 'too fun' to study on. This is one of the many reasons I prefer studying on amphetamine -- I am less easily distracted. Also, sometimes I get a bit...carried away...when studying on meth. In a bad way.

Dangerous combos...well, with any other stimulant -- it's never wise to combine stimulants.

If you are really going to use meth, try to use it only a couple times a month. I urge you not to use it weekly. If you use it only when really necessary -- for tests, big papers, exams etc -- you will more easily avoid addiction and harming yourself (esp. your brain and your natural concentration and mental capacity). Please be careful!
