Meth Pipe Problems (PLEASE HELP)

Alright so let me just start by saying, I'm aware that I could just go buy a new pipe but this pipe is very important to me. One of my best friends gave it to me the night before she overdosed. Any way I was smoking a couple of hours ago and I went to cool the piece down on my rag but I set it on my lap and my shirt melted to the pipe. I got the pipe off the shirt but there's black residue on the outside of the bowl part. I've tried everything to get it off but it's still there. And it literally covers the whole piece. Now I can't get decent hits because I'm just heating up the residue and not the glass. And I don't wanna soak it in rubbing alchohol or bleach because I have a basically new bowl in the pipe. Sorry if I don't make any sense I'm new to this forum and couldn't find anything on how to fix this. If there is already a thread like this please just link it or tell me their method.THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

Use steel wool or a scraper or something, don't bet on dissolving it, wtf.
