Does anyone have a detailed way off lessening the damages inflicted on the brain by meth? I've heard selenium and melatonin are proven to work, but I was wondering what anyone else knows. Also, if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate if you could include dosage amounts and times (i.e., so many mgs before, during and after, or just before or whatever).
Thanks in advance.

Here's a thread from the Health Archive.
As for research-backed agents which reduce meth-related neurotoxicty, those two (selenium and melatonin) are the major, most extensively studied drugs.

Fairnymph,
Thanks, that thread has all I need to know in it.
However, where, in your opinion, is the best place online for me to get these vitamins? Do you have a favorite pharmy or anything?
Thanks

Glad I could help. :)
Hmm. I usually just get my stuff at the health food store (since I shop for groceries there anyways). I've never bought stuff online, but I can recommend some brands:
solaray 5-htp and l-tyrosine
solgar DLPA
As for ALA and magnesium, get is whatever cheapest. If price is not a concern, I often go with solaray of solgar for most supplements as they have good quality products. ALA sustained release is only available from one company (at least in the US) from what I know, namely Jarrow Formulas.
Melatonin can be purchased online and in health food stores, I believe. Don't know about selenium. Being a bit of a tweaker myself, I should probably check these two out. I'll report back if I do and I encourage you to do the same.

Fairnymph,
First of all, I found the Jarrow Formulas ALA, as well as everything else that was suggested to me online.
However, I'm still slightly confused. Should I be taking ALA by itself, melatonin and selenium, or a combination of all three? Also, I know what ALA dosages you recommend, but what would I need to take if I incorporated the other two?
Thanks again.
