can you still get high on methamphetamine if it is put into a sugary drink and drink it....I ask this because of the study done with fruit flies and meth....does the sugar ruin the meth?

I don't see any reason why soda would render meth inert but I could be wrong. Do you have a quote/link to the study?

I read an overview of the study on Huffington Post just now. It says that heavy meth use makes your body use sugar for energy. So, if anything, sugar would seem to be better fuel for you body while on meth.

So, yes, you should still get high.

One other thing to consider, the more alkaline your stomach is, more amphetamine is absorbed. Meaning, if you took several calcium carbonates (Tums), your body would absorb more because less of the drug would be destroyed by first pass metabolism, i.e. your stomach acid. So, I think soda might accelerate the break down of the drug allowing less to be absorbed. Just a thought.

please don't make the same post in two different forums robbraun1985. This post is much more suited to BDD rather than ADD, so I expect it will be closed there. Will leave it open here for a while to see if there are any more decent responses, pscyopaths response was a good one
