I noticed that lately every time I do meth my piercings hurt. First it was the tongue. I have had it for a few years and have no complications with it except now when I do meth (smoke or snort, I usually snort) the piercing hole is super sore for a couple of days. I thought that maybe it was the meth smoke or the drip making it's way into the hole but now i'm not so sure. Tonight I smoked and snorted some and my nipple piercings are super super sore and they were fine (as fine as 2 month old nipple piercings can feel) up until a few hours ago. I'm not touching them or anything so is it possible that the meth is affecting and irritating my piercings? also, since I have been doing meth a little more frequently my medusa piercing (center of upper lip) has been acting up as well.

Maybe try getting higher Guage jewelry, just by one or two since meth causes fairly noticeable vasoconstriction, which coupled with dehydration I could see making skin tighter around the piercing but not long term enough to fully stretch
I was just thinking that maybe my immune system is so low from meth that it's making it harder for my body to heal. My medusa is already in a sensitive, active spot and gets the most crusties out of all my healed piercings but it's been pretty sore since I started doing meth with shorterbreaks in between. I got my medusa piercing almost 8 months ago. My nipples are what concern me though because they have been healing with ease and in fact the healing process was much easier thaneexpected but now as soon as I start doing white more often it gives me problems. The past few times they got kinda sore but it's much more noticeable tonight. I read up more about tongue soreness after doing meth and it's very common. The gauge isn't an issue, especially for my nipple piercings before they are a 12 gauge and that's the recommended size for them. Also I drink TOO much water on meth or any stimulant. Black too..Half the time I throw up on h It's because I drank too much water. Definitely not dehydrated but maybe you're right and my skin is tighter?
Haha pretty weird eh. The only other thing i can think of is that increased perspiration coupled with higher levels of activity your causing irritation? Or going way out there, maybe you've developed a allergy/sensitivity to the metal?
I would try and keep everything as clean as possible and try something to sooth the skin. Is there inflammation at piercing sites? Have you experienced significant weight gain or loss recently?

I don't think it's an allergic reaction because anytime( besides obviously recent nights like tonight when im wired) it doesn't bug anymore than the occasional slight irritation from the newer piercings which is expected. I'll probably use a wet paper towel to brush off the crusties and avoid hand contact until I shower. I have lost weight for sure though. My average like two months ago give or take was 107-110 lbs but now im 100 lbs. I don't know exactly when I lost weight ans Idk how fast I lost it because I don't own a scale but on Christmas eve I was at a friends house and I went to the bathroom and used their scale and saw that I was only 100.4 lbs.I tripped out and at first I thought that the scale was broken. 7-10 lbs lost doesnt seem like much but when you're only 107- 110 lbs, losing that much weight is actually pretty bad

maybe meth is irritating your piercings...either through reaching those spots through your bloodstream, or when it excretes through your pores. meth is a pretty caustic chemical
I feel that. . Haven't really had BO in almost two years and now that I do it more often I can definitely smell the chemicals

yeah when I do the stuff, i feel icky after. I need a shower and then i feel soo much better. the less pure your meth is, the more your skin will show it. thats how "meth bites" occur.
Yeah I'm kinda breaking out (I don't pick at myself) and face wash breaks me out so I'm going to take a hot shower tonight to fix what I can

I forgot to add that meth also decreases saliva production, which usually inhibits bacterial growth in your mouth. people get meth mouth from having not enough saliva, and the teeth rot as a result.
im sure this is why your tongue piercing hurts at least. try brushing your teeth directly after smoking or snorting it, avoid sugary substances while on it, as this feeds bacteria that may be off balance in your mouth while being high, and brush whenever your mouth feels "off"
as for the other piercings hurting, yeah. probly just the impurities in your blood/on your skin

I always make sure I drink water..Its actually kinda a problem because I drink A LOT of water while on stims. On meth a gallon of water will last about 10 hours MAX and oh god, on coke a gallon will last about 7 hours. I literally have to taper down my water consumption.
The last few days I made sure to brush my teeth after smoking and whenever it felt weird. My tongue hurts less too!
