Meth-Different Salts and the effects?

So I know that with the reduced ability to acquire Sudafed for the production of Meth that there are all kinds of ways that it is made these days.

I know there is some meth that is basically just a smokable form of Adderall, and on a drug test it simply shows up as amphetamine.

My question is this, there are two different types of dope that I am trying to differentiate. I come into contact with both from time to time and I want to know what makes it the way that it is(like what causes the effects of each).

One type of the "salty dope" that I am referring to(I am pretty sure) is some sort of amphetamine salts. If that is a thing.

And the other is definitely salt based(not to be confused with the addition of homemade GHB to meth) but a heavier salt. It causes blood pressure to slow(blood literally thickens), hearing reduction, and as a consequence the body temperature drops.

The effects are easily combated by the consumption of nicotine, so it can't be that strong, but that only last for a short few moments(the stimulant effect of nicotine temporarily restores blood flow to normal). It wears off and the effects of whatever chemical additive has been consumed takes back over.

Meth is a more powerful stimulant than adderall.

Methylamphetamine vs amphetamine is a whole different type of compound.

The methyl amine attached to the amphetamine allows it to pass the blood brain barrier faster than amphetamines alone. That’s why it produces so much dopamine.

It’s roughly twice as potent over amphetamines like adderall or vyvanse.

Pseudoephedrine/ephedrine produces pure D isomer meth.

The other synth methods like P2P produce racemic meth. A mixture of a chiral isomer. Its mirrored. D and L isomers.

D( Dextro) is the one you want. L(Levo) is an over the counter decongestant. It stimulates your sympathetic nervous system and makes you feel tweaked and over amped. It’s a waste.

You can optically rotate L to D iso with tartric acid. That’s what the cartel has been doing for years now.

I´m not really sure what you are referring too exactly. The statement regarding the ¨slowing of blood flow¨ with all due respect, I feel is erroneous. I don´t believe that this is something that actually happens to a person who uses Methamphetamine. If anything, Methamphetamine is going to cause Tachycardia and Hypertension, as opposed to the opposite.

Amphetamine and Methamphetamine are chiral, meaning they have two mirror image isomers that make up what is called the racemate of the drug. Levo-Amphetamine is not active as a central nervous stimulant. An oversimplification would be to compare the Levo isomer to caffeine. Dextroamphetamine is the ¨active¨ sought-after isomer of the compound.

This same logic is extrapolated to Methamphetamine. The Levo isomer of Methamphetamine can be found over the counter in Vicks in halers, again, with effecst that are more similar to caffeine than a true CNS stimulant.

If you´re using Racemic Amphetamine, be it Meth or straight Amphetamine, you can say that it is like taking Caffeine alongside your Amphetamine. You will have more peripheral side effects like tachycardia, hypertension, anxiety etc. than you would if you were taking the pure dextro isomer. This is why the opitcally-resolved DextroMethamphetamine would be considered the most desired. Most people only want the CNS effects.

As for contaminants, you never really know. In general though, Methamphetamine is Methamphetamine. There are varying qualities, impurites etc.
