Meth Crystalizing...

ok now i know it's total BS about it crystalizing in your lungs. but me and a friends were having a little debate on this over ICQ.
i know that Methamphetamine HCl is water soluable and that the lungs have a natural coating of moisture on them so it can't crystalize.
the interesting point my friend brought up was it could be possible to SUPERSATURATE your lungs with it so no more could dissolve. (think adding salt to a glass of water till no more can dissolve)
is this at all possible, or will it keep diffusing at a rate that would make this impossible?
 
You'd be good and dead before this would happen. Plus, your lungs are MENT for absorption of gas/vapour into the blood. You wouldn't beable to smoke enough meth to beable to "supersaturate" your lungs. Atleast not without using some sort of machine...
 
probably, but i'm still wondering if there's a limit to the ammount of dissolved solids the lungs can hold while it diffuses at the same time, and if it's possible for some jib-tek to supersaturate thier lungs on a super binge.

The volume of smoke you'd have to take in in such a small period of time is way to much, like stated before you would go into cardiac arrest before you could possible filter enough smoke through your lungs to crystalize them....
 
The methamphetamine is taken in through the lungs and absorbed into the bloodstreem... the others are correct - you would die from acute toxicity or cardiac arrest before you "clogged yourself", that just doesnt happen...
 
The surface area of your lungs is about equal to the area of a tennis court. So I don't think you could cover that whole area with vaporized meth.
 
I don't know. I tried convincing my chem instructor to let me synth meth or acid for a project and he vetoed the idea. (I even promised to donate the profits to the school's science dept!)

No, I was talking about visually showing the class how lungs have the surface area of a tennis court ... but while on the subject of making drugs in chemistry class; if you even make jokes about making drugs in a chemistry class you can be expelled from school, if you get caught with any literature on the mnufacture of drugs (i.e. a print out of a "recipe" you found online) you can be arested and charged with conspiracy to manufacture (as you already have a lab and [some of] the chemicals via the school)... this was all passed recently as it was snuck into that "anti-meth" bill.. there was an article about 2 students in Florida that were expelled after they setup "lab equiptment" in such a way they could "manufacture methamphetamine" and had "joked to other classmates" about how they were going to make the drug.. kinda weak if you ask me - how do you setup lab equiptment in such a way to make meth? A basic reflux or distillation setup is shown in most any into to chemistry class.. they would have been cool if they kept their fucking mouths shut! The sad thing is the idiots probably couldn't have made a gram of meth if their lives depended on it... so many are taken down because they simply CAN'T KEEP QUIET!
