I have this sad sense it has a negative effect on the body and/or is potentially mediated through the weakening of the immune system.

For sure I have noticed a general trend of tonsil/lymph nodes in the neck being temporarily effected.

This doesn't happen with every dose/day one might use; but I believe still warrants discussion.

Sekio; I would ❤ you if you could give me a better idea of any potential correlation.

Well, anything that mimics a fight or flight response is going to quickly but temporarily make use of the body's natural defense mechanisms. I think the tonsil/lymph thing and most other bodily symptoms is largely and probably mostly due to dehydration. Even if one is drinking water throughout the high, the body will just flush it out right away (along with all of its nutrients and electrolytes) and it's almost impossible to stay nourished and hydrated. A weakened immune system will surely follow, but it's a peripheral effect just the same as if you were sprinting for 12-24 hours without a break. I don't believe the meth itself directly damages the immune system.

I'm not sure about after a single dose but anything that tires out your body and especially can cause nights without sleep will cause a weakening in your immune system.
However it does seem that stimulants themselves do tend to weaken the immune system even if taken during the day and you eat well and get a good sleep that night.
Not sure if there is a correlation but it's something I've noticed as well
