(meth)amphetamine and empathogenic effects?

Over the last two days, me and friend where hitting the amps hard up. But They (Dexedrine, meth and lisdex) seemed to cause a deep empathetic response. We talked deeply about very personal things and bonded very strongly. Moreso then when we did MDMA together.

Our theory was the thoughts and emotions brought out by clean stimulants are more honest, more a part of you, and not overly messed up by the effects mda/mdma/psychedelics. We could just spit it raw, as we felt inside, and not have it distorted.

anyone else found that/had that expierence? I know methamp is SERT inhibitor...but not all that potent of one.
 
^^Most amphetamines, or phenylamines, have that effect.

From mdma, to adderall, to meth, they can all have those effects, only they change with intensity. Some amphetamines lack that aspect, such as some of the weirder ones in PIKAL.
 
But the weird thing was it was more intense and honest the mda or mdma are for me. Which doesn't make sense to me.

I'm aware all stimulants period reduce inhibition and make you talkative, but have methamphetamine trump mdma for empathy was pretty unusual.

any theory why? Maybe I have a poor response to 5ht due to my personal neurochemistry and thus the dopaminergic's have more effect on me?
 
yes amphetamine and methamphetamine can be empathogenic but in my experience after you start using chronically they go away and don't come back
 
I use chronically and heavy, and still get empathogenic effect then I do off mda/mdma. I'm really curious as to why, it does not fit with the pharmacology or with most other peoples expierences.

am I just odd in the brain?
 
Your not odd to the brain. I take amphetamines (Adderall) everyday but I still can get that empathetic feeling from them when I up my daily dose. I loss my inhibitions and become very talkative and social. Talk about whats really on my mind. I feel for other peoples emotions in a strong way.

You may feel that its cleaner than MDMA because it lacks the psychedelic effects that may alter your thoughts.
 
Yes. The last bender I did. Anyone who has high quality ice which is damn fine and nice will of course empathy is moreso intense than with mdma. Id rather have a bag of e than ice though. Unless I knew the ice was good shit then id take the ice. Nothing is better than doing a line for the first time in awhile and then banging the beat jumpin up n yo seat....
