those were his last words as he drowned in his sorrows... leaving me swimming alone in our mutual sea of regret.
i'll never know why i didn't give him something to hold to as he fell deeper and deeper into the depths of the sea, i'll never know why i wasn't falling with him, but drown he did, and drown i didn't.
