Metallic taste from vaporizer?

I bought a HotBox vape about two weeks ago. I've been using it a lot, and last night I hit it and it tasted like metal. Now, I should add I have quit cigarettes for 9 days, today, so that might be contributing. I looked it up online and they say HotBox is made out of ceramic or something so I shouldn't taste metal. Do you think it might be the plastic whip? Would that even taste like metal or something else?

Just scared to hit my vape now because I don't want to be inhaling all that shit I don't need. Haven't even smoked today, yet :?

It's probably your taste buds coming back to you and acting strangely. Quitting cigs will make everything taste a lot different. I don't think you have to worry about smoking anything unhealthy with a vaporizer because, well, it's a vaporizer. Also your tongue could be getting slightly irritated by the vapor and you're tasting a faint hint of blood. Like i said much more sensitive now with no cigs in your life.

Yeah, my vote is for A) it's a side effect of smoking withdrawal, or possibly B) the vapor is irritating your mouth (is your mouth sore? vaping nicotine + PG hurts my mouth). I doubt it's the vaporizer.

EDIT: Wait, what are you vaping?? Cannabis?? I assumed you meant nicotine since you said you recently quit smoking.
