Also periphery, animals as leaders, scale the summit, not the most brutal bands but they`re all something different, i think protest the hero`s my favorite right now though.

^lol back when i was a guitar nerd I forced myself to learn every PTH song off their second album, which I forget the name of... Its the one with "Bloodmeat" and "Sequoia Throne" on it.

Haha I know what you mean, it`s probably not a coincidence that I play guitar also, though I don`t know if I`d be be able to play all thier songs off of that album, fortress I think it`s called, that type of music attracts people like us haha. Nerding out on the "progressive technical melodic too-many-time-signatures mathcore" stuff. It sounds sick to me though.

Everyone should check this album out asap. This little unknown album is the best metal album ever made, and a high point in the music history of mankind. It should be listened to straight-through while in bed. You will be a new person once it is complete.

this is a new one for me...I like :D !!! very refreshing. thank you for the suggestion. I have also found that this will brighten up my cloudy days

although it leans more to the sludgy drone end of metal.

beenlistening to the most bizarre black metal ever. Deafheaven. Sounds like some shoegaze or post-rock musicians tried to make a black metal album. Not sure if I like it yet.

well, I just listened to it, and let me tell you...
it has been cloudy/raining for more than a month here, but today the sky is clear, so this is the first sunny day in a while.

so I was walking on the way home, watching the mountains far away beneath the blue sky, bathing in the warm sun, the wind gently blowing on me... I was literally crying of joy and fullness.

so yeah, thanks for letting us know this gem
