Mescaline Cactus Toxic Lookalikes?

So i'm wondering if there are any toxic lookalikes to the tricereous species of cactus which contain mescaline(and other alkaloids) which could be toxic if ingested?

I'll get a photo sometime in the week, but aquired a nice cactus a while back in a local plant shop, looked very much like a peruvianus but I doubt its that (They owner said it was imported from Iran or Turkey) but thats only were they grew it, not the origin of the species...

it looks like an active one, also, is there a cactus ID thread around here?

If it bleeds white latex when cut or pricked, run like hell.

Euphorbia species, almost all extremely irritant and highly toxic, that sap in some species is nasty enough to be used as arrow poison, and will blind in most.
