Meprobamate (MILTOWN) or Soma?

I had a source for Meprobamate 400mg ($100/100tabs) unfortunately this source is currently unavailable.
I can obtain Soma which i believe is a prodrug of meprobamate but with muscle relaxing properties.
So i am considering getting Soma.
I am interested in any feed back on people who have experience of both substances or who have experienced Soma.

i used to be perscribed to somas, but then for some reason the next time i went in, he took me off of them?

i have never taken meproamate, but i looked it up.

and i think soma will have much more recreational value to it.

but be careful, they're really sneaky.
i took 1,000mg and barely felt anything
but took 250mg more, and my motor skills went to shit.
i could barely walk in a straight line and i was slurring like crazy.
i looked like a drunk haha



edit:and that was the second time i ever took soma.
the time before that doesn't really count though, i only took 350mg.

I've gotten the chance do to meprobamate a few times, I found its alot like soma, and about 2x as potency per mg.

however, it lacks the "heaviness" of soma imo...soma makes you more tired and lazy feeling.

your milage may vary, and I've only done meprobamate maybe 10 times.

i just got my hands on a bottle of meprobamate 400mg tabs... there are roughly 15of em in there. it was hard to find any info on recreational dose.. so i took 1 and 1/2 (600mg), and after not feeling anything for 40 minutes i took another 400mg. still nothing!

i want to know if anybody can suggest a dose for me? im 165lbs 5'8" if that matters..... not trying to nod off but i wanna feel it. maybe i should wait until i get a few bags of dope and combine them?

I MUCH prefer Soma. I may have only had two scripts of Equanil (The 400 mg round white tablets) but Soma produces a much more relaxing effect and when I take three or four it almost feels like a moderately potent opioid. Combing an opioid like Hydrocodone or Oxycodone with a few Soma would have me feeling Heavenly. I love Soma. One 350mg Soma produces a much better feeling than one 400mg Equanil and not much Soma is required to feel great.

They are both the same

Soma is easier to get, but they both are pretty much the same thing.

When I take three somas to potentiate hydro or dhc it really kicks it into high gear.

When I take three Meprobamates to potentiate hydro or dhc it really kicks it into high gear.

My answer should be clear.

I've used Meprobamate lots and lots and lots. And Soma lots and lots too.

Soma is one drug that I miss like hell now that I'm mostly clean.

Soma hits faster, and ends sooner, if that makes sense. Soma may metabolize to meprobamate, but it's way more than it is. Soma hits within 5-15 minutes of taking it. It's over in about 2 hours.

If meprobamate was all there was to it, it'd take much longer for it to even start

Carisoprodol comes in tablets of 350mg and is idicated for muscle spasm with mild pain. Soma exhibits anxyiolytic, sedative, somnolence, and skeletal muscle relaxant properties. The (brand) name Soma originally comes from antiquity, from an Indian (no, not native US Injins!, Fool!) name of some symbolic significance.
Furthermore, famed British writer Aldous Huxley's novel, 'Brave New World' featured an ObamaType Oligarchy governed by a few, with a populace manipulated into compliance and obedience by compulsory intake of the infamous "Soma". (it used to be fiction..)
Soma/ Carisoprodol is VERY INexpensive, and if a generic is available, Carisoprodol is downright cheap. Also, I think Soma is unscheduled by the DEA: Rx only.
FIRST. Soma IS THE MOST POTENT POTENTIATOR of OPIATES/OIDS! Period. BEWARE!! NO SHIIIIT!! NOT FUR SUCKA'S. You wanna "NOD",..then go to the Land of "NOD"!
Particularly POTENT when taken with Vicod, Oxy(OC's),done, Horse, meperid, codeine and all codeine relatives, also morphine, opium.
There is an article of a young man taking hydrocodone regularly. The first time he takes his regular amount of vicodone with a good amount of Soma he dies from the effects of opiate potentiation (respiratory failure).
Minimum potentiation starts at 30 to forty percent and goes way up from there. Soma and Opies can be real fire; titrate carefully if you want to go this route. Carefull!!

Miltown (meprob.) is an earlier drug vs. SOMA; late fifties, sixties, seventies. It also is the weirdest brand NAME of any pharma i yet seen.
At one point around the late sixties, one of every three scripts in America was for meprobamate! (I assert this without absolute certitude). Billions of pills. Abused as ''Downers" to cushion amphetamine comedowns.
Good ole' anorexigenics (UPPERS) back 'in tha Day'''INCLUDED: D/amps, Bontril, racemic amphs similar to adderall, dexmethamphetamine(Desoxyn) and many others both OTC and Rx,.. off course Many 'Stimies' proved refreshingly addictive Stimulants (sympathomimetic amines, piperidines, phenethylamines, amphetamines, dopaminergics, etc).
For a momentary 'window' of time in the fifties & sixties,... many millions of 'burban Housewives existed practically as Mother junkies (I would likely have done the same thing myself!).
Prior to the creation of scheduling CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES to reign in Dr.'s, potentially addictive substances became policed by the newly formed DEA, created by the Justice Dep.t,(circa 1970).
But ME thinks SOMA is DEA unscheduled, only a Rx required! (again, my gut hunch). Today it is easier to learn how to build pipe bombs and Sliencers than Order Adderall(sch.II) over the interet!
