Never had those with any other substance, I miss that feeling so much! I was so creative living my fantasies, doing my make up and dressing up to the nine, just like playing real life Barbie. Possibly it was a welcome side effect of the massive ego lift.. someone gets that from cocaine, with a different intensity of course.
Yes, never tried it personally but lots of people say that sex on it was out of this world. What was it like, in which way it was different from sober sex?
I would do mephedrone at home on my own (I did it with a female friend only once, I'm a straight woman), couldn't focus on anyone and anything else while under the influence, really, except that immense high. But then I totally hate having sex on drugs, only exception is weed.
Mephedrone and ketamine, it was known as CK I think. Sounds hardcore! Both drugs are very edgy.

Don't know what the official stats are, but certainly coke use in bars in Spain is way more obvious than in the UK. MDMA very obvious in clubs - you can get away with much more than you can in the UK. The Spanish like to party...

How come the authorities are so tolerant, Spain is a very Catholic country?! Italy and France have some of the most strict drug laws in Europe. Well, a trip to Spain is definitely on the post-lockdown to-do list then ☀

I love Spain. I've been going to Ibiza once a year for pretty much the last 15 years - go to the right areas/nights and it's still great. Fave Spanish city though is Granada - still has free tapas culture, beautiful blend of architecture and plenty of hippy types. Not as touristy as the likes of Barcelona.

My basic understanding of Spanish politics is that they went through that very repressive Franco period, but became very liberal/tolerant once that ended.

I remember first getting into mephedrone in 2006 when I heard about the Neorganics "Spirit" caps being sold whilst browsing the Everyonedoesit forum.Then there then was a UK seller who sold via a private forum ( which went down only a year or so ago) who sold the pure powder, this was early 2007.

Over the next couple of years the stuff really took off with headlines in the Daily Mail etc...and eventually the outright ban on all things legal high.

That article was quite interesting although my take on things with the pre ban and new stuff was in 2009 I was getting 4-flouromcat. It was actually sold as 4fa by the Chinese supplier but it wasn't 4fa. It turned out to be 4flouormcat and was incredible. Had the same smell that everyone relates to the pre ban stuff and I you could go for days still feeling fresh on it.

I think at that time this was what a lot of people were getting and that could be part of the difference. I wasn't going to bother replying but then I just by accident read a news article from last year where someone had been found selling 4-chloromcat which is never even thought about before and if that's the case no doubt 4-bromomcat will also be in existence and have its own slightly different take on things.

But I'm 100% sure some of what Dr Zee said in that article is bollocks, the mcat that had the ammonia smell did not smell of solvents but it smelled like it needed solvents as it was impure, hence the colour in many respects.

I've never heard anyone mention 4-fluoromcat before. Interesting. However, there is no evidence that pre-ban was anything other than pure 4MMC. The article you mentioned notes several examples, such as the 2010 study from the University of Sunderland which analysed 6 samples of pre-ban, 5 of which were sold by different online stores.

I agree that some of Dr Zee's statements are questionable, but pre-ban wasn't "impure" in the slightest like you say. On the contrary, almost every analysis performed on mephedrone before the ban shows a similar high purity (I'm quoting the article again.)

University of Sunderland? Brings a bit of a chuckle to me, seeing I did my degree and masters at Sunderland polytechnic. My ex used to say she graduated from Sunderland Uni, to which I always felt inclined to chip in, "get over yourself woman, it's Sunderland poly!"

Actually, 3 or 4 fluoromethcat should be pretty effective as a dopaminergic/noradrenergic stimulant. Not sure about the serotonogic activity, as a ring methyl group is quite different to a halogen.
