Mephedrone Megathread VIII: Hnnnng!

You've got a good few months left I reckon. Don't believe the hype.

it will be july 1st it's made illegal IMO I still stand by that

Ah, The Times is jumping on the bandwagon: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/health/article7064932.ece. Very much straight from the mouth of the Authorities, so not, ahem, exactly well balanced...

And I had a blast reading it on the thread and on the article : "if you've taken it go straight to hospital!"

Oh dear: I hope the hospitals are ready to accept dozens of thousands of party kids on any weekend.

Methadone & alcohol doesn't sell papers. KILLER DRUG MEOW MEOW does though.

Prescient. :)

The Sun...but could have been any of them.

The Times has the story, all about mephedrone - and a follow up 'Methadone - a life sentence?'.

Just read The Sun's article on this which is obviously their usual sensationalist bullshit, but manages to lower the bar still further by actually mentioning that the lads had also taken methadone -- which, to anyone who hasn't been lobotomised, is clearly very pertinent here -- before launching into a huge tirade of vitriol against the evils of tabloid-friendly mephedrone, making no further mention whatsoever of the incredibly strong, extremely dangerous synthetic opioid with a similar name.

And it really boils my piss when these shitrag journalists insist on claiming that 'mephedrone is used legitimately in plant fertiliser' mnmnmfggnmmgng!!!?!?!

*emails the stupid twat*

I love the SUN they even managed to get in the scrotal deglovement story.

There have been retractions to date though haven't there? They thought that girl in Brighton died of Meth and then it had nothing to do with it. How do they know these lads died of Meth?

Front page of BBC news though:( Bye bye meth

^I'd bet my remaining working heart valves that the methadone and alcohol they had had a little bit more to do with it than the 'meow meow'

Something is definitely not ringing true about today's headlines - a combination of mephedrone, methadone and alcohol ??? WTF

And why does the media keep describing meph as a ''herbal'' high - what a joke

its plant food innit, makes it herbal 8)
and its not that uncommon to use opiates/alcohol to come down from stimulants. Just unfortunate for these 2 lads
