Mephedrone Megathread VI: Anyone Seen My Heartvalves?

you obviously missed this thread, bluelight users were used in that documentary as well. The government have known about mephedrone for a long time.

That documentary seemed mostly based around Salvia, Spice & Party Pills (BZP) though, at the time I just remember being annoyed by the documentary for seemingly using scare tactics to make people think legal drugs are a scourge, such as "Look at this community, seems respectable enough, doesn't it? WELL, THE YOUTH HERE ENJOY DOING LEGAL DRUGS. Look how damaging to communities they are!" and "Look, this guy is taking research chemicals, look at this video of a guy with parkinsons, he got that from taking a "research chemical".

The only positive part of the documentary is when they spoke to that Australian guy who made BZP popular, he bought up good points.
 
it was an awful program, but i cant fault it entirely, it led me to this site in a round about way so something good came of it. as ive said before with the sacking of that guy and the need to rebuild the advisory board then it should be ok till dec next year unless they pass some emergency legislation, at the very least we should have till june/july

A palpitation is where the heart skips a beat, and may be felt as a fluttering, and then a sudden pound as the rhythm starts again. :)
 
Well, my Mephdrone experience is nearly at an end; in 3 weeks and 2 days I got through 5 grams of the stuff, most of which was taken in the last 6 days. Yesterday I think I did about 700mg, maybe a little more.

Mephedrone has its pros and its cons. I think its cons outweigh its pros but it's not a bad drug if you're going to do it at the weekend a couple of times a year. Unfortunately if you a large amount around all the time the temptation to take some is always there; it's more comforting to know that I just can't have any because I don't have any. The urge to re-dose is fairly compelling, not irresistible by any means but the desire is there. The problem is that after a while all re-dosing is doing is stopping you from coming down and sleeping; the euphoria is gone. Once you've hit that point it's best to quit while you're ahead because all you'll be doing after that is wasting meph and time.

Adverse affects-wise I did notice that I seemed to have less energy, I nearly fell asleep in a lecture and almost nodded off on the bus today. I can't seem to walk as fast as I normally do. I attribute this to both several late nights and reduced circulation, the latter is pure conjecture on my part, but that is what I suspect. I go to the gym 3 times a week, this week I have noticed a marked decrease in my 'performance.' I seemed to tire faster and my heart definitely felt like it was working harder even though I had lowered the weight.

I haven't had any chest pains though, or 'brain zaps' fortunately. I have noticed I feel a lot more apathetic when I'm out and about, usually I'm relatively self-concious about how I stand or where I look etc but found over the past few days I didn't really give a fuck. I would say this is a negative side-effect.

My tongue is a wreck today, got some painful ulcers, the biggest of which seems to like getting caught by my teeth. I did a bit of reading and I think the cause is I ate dinner while coming down; because mephedrone numbs pain in your mouth (it does in mine, anyway) I think the food I ate was far too hot. However the roof of my mouth is fine, and that usually suffers some damage if I eat hot food. I have been licking leftover mephedrone off a cd case and drinking diluted gbl so it is possible either of those or a combination of both caused the ulcers.

Mephedrone isn't really a 'lifestyle' drug, by that I mean you can't really integrate it into everyday life like you can cannabis but if you don't mind a little strain on your heart it would be pretty good on a night out, or a night in with a partner.

^I think your tongue is probably ulcerated because you've been chewing it for like a week, not because you ate hot food.
 
yep nothing to do with the food, never had a drug fuck up my mouth as bad as mephedrone
 
My gym routine has gone out the window partly thanks to mephedrone. I'm going to try lay off it for a bit. Im looking for a suitable replacement for the weekends, at the moment all I can think of is heroin and MDPV
 
i havnt chewed my mouth before, however i grind my back teeth like no tomorrow. or "lick my lips like a cat" as people have noticed

Meph never has caused me to chew my tongue, M! on the other hand even at a dose of 200mg made me chew it up real bad.
 
Yeah I think I have been chewing my tongue, I didn't think chewing would result in ulcers though, would expect bleeding. But I guess tongues are weird.
 
tongue chewing can definitely cause ulcers

My comment was from personal experience with meph. Chewing and sucking your tongue will definitely ulcerate it, acid+booze+MDMA gave me an ulcer so big it almost deserved a christening.
 
i chew on my tongue on a monday and tuesday night in my sleep after a wend on mdma-meph etc.
it would want to be a heavyduty session for me to bite the inside of my mouth or tongue while high but i have done it a few times.
 
I'm pretty impresed after my first dunt at meph. Way more heavy then fleph, and defo more like pills than fleph.

Fuck knows when this night will end! :)

i'd end it before you start feeling trippy. it's really quite pointless when you don't get any higher everything just gets more trippy so i'd have wank and go to sleep if i were you.

I'd like to add my tuppence :| maybe you'd be better fishing for interviewees over on drugs forum or somewhere like it. Bluelight is harm reduction board and getting that message, the ethos, across on the format you are proposing, well it ain't gonna happen is it :|
