Good post, that's my experience of the heart stuff, it's really not the same as when your heart just beats faster because you're on stims.

Apologies, Witch too wired to have done much but compose epic shitposts tonight and didn't see it. From what I've read there's very little research gone in to it so the short answer would be that nobody really knows. But from the snippets I have come across - essentially educated guesswork, by the look of it - it's unlikely to be a big risk as it doesn't have such a strong serotonin thing going on - more dopamine - so less risk or SS.

That's just me fairly uneducated guess based on other more educated folks' guesses though. Not a huge risk, but I'm sure some idiot will be stupid enough to find out the hard way sooner or later. Start low and take it from there is about it really. I suspect you'll find similar guesswork at those lesser forums too ;)
 
Golly. Perhaps my addled fuddleheadeness had merit between the mania after all - I'm shocked but slightly scared of reading any of tonights novels again so will take your word for it ;)

There is strangeness afoor with the bk-things. Strangeness that carries a faint but growing waft of trouble ahead.

Wibs: If you decide to give it another go sometime then skip the sniffing bit - I only get heart concerns when sniffed. Oral is stronger, but feels a lot calmer and less toxic. It's actually rather lush bombed at the right dose - too little is sketchy and jittery. Hit the sweet spot and that stuff about it being better than MDMA is still bollocks, but a lot less bollocks than those peeps who snort it - that just feels toxic like snorting M1 and sod all like MDMA. Pipz or rough speed maybe, but not MDMA.

But, wirth reference to permanent effect on your ticker, is it possible for snorting to be that much different from bombing?

I'm not hugely tempted to try it again as quite apart from the heart stuff it gave me epic come down of doom which included much sickness for the first time ever the day after and I couldn't sleep at all, even when I got into bed about 9.30 the next day I didn't get to sleep for 4 or 5 hours.
Might have been due to snorting a few lines but it really was so shit I wouldn't like to find that meph just doesn't agree with me! Irony is I had such a wicked night whilst high, but totally fiended too.

Very interesting post there Shambles, it makes perfect sense coming from one so experienced with drugs as yourself. Its something that worries me too; many people have used coke/crack very heavily for 5+ years and do not complain of irregular heart issues, yet people are sniffing a few gs of meph and getting very odd feelings in that area. Coke certainly has its dangers but it seems to me there's a much larger margin for error and natural safety net simply because of its prevalance of use in the past 30-40 years around the world, 'tried and tested' if you will. When experienced users of traditional stims are noticing heart issues, that really worries me. Here's hoping its nothing truly dangerous and just a psychological thing.

One thing is clear though, Shambles has one iron constitution to still be able to handle all this. :)
 
Snorting even a couple of lines will give me a comedown and a lot of trouble sleeping. If I only eat it I get no comedown and no trouble sleeping. Not that I'm suggesting you should have another go just to see. Is odd people report the exact same problems with M1 - they tend to be the ones who have no issues with meph. I seem to be one of those that's the other way round - M1 will keep me awake for up to 24 hours after the last dose and the comedown is a bit like speed comedown combined with swine flu - just evil. Either of them snorted is a horrible idea though - nasty side effects for a not overly impressive rush with meph and even worse side effects for nothing except bonus side effects with M1.

These ketones things are just plain fuckin' strange :\

I guess so. If you snort a gram of charlie your heart won't thank you. If you swallow a gram I doubt your heart would be so bothered. Maybe it's just too much of whatever the "bad" stuff in the m1/meph getting to the bloodstream all at once that causes the problems. Orally it's got time to be absorbed and dealt with apprpriately.

Snorting 2C-x tends to give a fair few side-effects that oral dosing doesn't too, although oral dosing has worse effects for me. There's an obvious answer - stick 'em up yer bum and the problem's solved =D

In the case of M1 it kinda is actually - the only time I got any real enjoyment out of it was rectally. Sniffing it is toxic, swallowing it is sicky sicky, bumming it is just plain nice - smooth sailing all the way. Got drugs? You know what to do with 'em. Try it with your caffeine/vitamine mix - I bet it works better and has less nastiness. G'wan, g'wan, g'wan. You know you want to really ;)

Oh dear. I wish you hadn't said that. First meph death? It's gonna be me - purely for the comedy value. This may be my last post for some time :(

I used to get that pounding heart when I went to bed after snorting 1/2 a gram of coke but don't get it off 1 gram Meph (orally), and a s long as I get a few hours sleep I am fine the next day.
Trouble is I want to do more meph that night and it works just as well the second night.

I wont snort meph, orally works fine with no bad sides for me.
M1 come up was slightly better but I hated the way it made me feel the following week, was not going to use it again but after reading shambles post might try and plug 200mg of M1 (never plugged before) and 500mg Meph orally.

Meph is different for me depending on the dose, 500 is my sweet spot but no redosing that night.
 
Mephedrone, molly with all the appeal of coke for the price of sugar, definitely my favorite high (highs are distinct from trips). But, the one bad thing about it is it's duration. ORALLY, it'll last me 1-1.5 hours. I expect longer than that for most drugs snorted. Snorting mephedrone isn't even worth it because the effects subside so quickly. Basically no matter how I do it I always have to redose.
 
Does anyone know is there any other places that sell the crystally batch of meph? Im not asking for a source im just wanting a yes or no answer so i know

IMO the "crystally" stuff is just a DIY recrystallisation that can be done to any of the powdery mephedrone kicking about. The faint vinegary odour I've noticed on the crystally stuff (from two seperate vendors!) makes me think it's a piece of piss to do and a gimmick. I'm sure I read somewhere that the method was posted on a now defunct forum a while back.

edit> i may be talking bollocks though, perhaps someone with some actual chemistry knowledge might care to comment...

Never had any of the weird heart problems that I've read from some accounts on here other than some small heartache in the afternoon after only snorting but now I've been a little put off about only snorting and have a question about getting the most out of the first come up/hit.

If I were to bomb the first dose (eg 150mg), would I get anything from snorting a half sized dose (75mg) just as it started to come up? I was thinking maybe it'd intensify the first high without putting so much strain on my heart (compared to snorting it all) but still end up benefitting from the bombing effects.

Has anyone tried that... or advise against it?
 
I have and yes that is the way to go, though i used to do 200mg up the nose and only snort 50 as its not nice to sniff!

Just realized I don't think I had a crystal batch.

Cod, Sorry... totally missed that information. Had a brain wave and didn't look it up before asking. Sweet, really hoping my order comes soon.
 
to make it crystal, just dump it in solvent and evaporate solvent slowly, thus larger crystals will form. Its the same with ket.
 
I've had a couple of dalliances (ok maybe binges) with mephedrone since I wrote the post quoted at the start of this thread, and I can now finally say I've had enough of the stuff and couldn't care less if I never come across it again.

I've come to think of it as just a one-dimensional cheap thrill that's fun for noveltys sake in a childish kind of way, but ultimately pointless. It's crap for just about everything I would want out of a stimulant and the only thing it does well is being cheap, rushy and fiendish. The way it's being sold and the way it's becoming well known gives me the creeps tbh, it's a perfect profiteers drug.
