Mephedrone Megathread: Fourth Redose

arrgh started my binge at 2am just taken another dose ;/
Im usually sensible with droogs. Bad mephedrone :|
 
Do you mean mixing it into those drinks instead of making a bomb or just how it makes them taste when you are high?

The cardiac arrest wasn't fatal (thank fuck - praise be for the ambulance serrivice - once again, god bless the NHS! :D) and at the minute, only documented with the poisons unit. Other than that, it's others who'vwe mentioned the Scottish fatality
 
so would people say the possible acute damage of doing loads is the bigger risk than the chronic damage from taking it somewhat regularly (i'm on about once a fortnight at the moment, much less than 500mg per session)

I'm very scared of MDPV, i think that one did some bad damage to my heart, got terrible chest pains on it and it also make me extremele paranoid (normal amphetamine comedown paranoia was nothing compared to that stuff).

Did some meph again yesterday but i beleive now oral is a terrible way of taking this stuff... (didnt work as good as snorting it so i ended up taking alot more then a few weeks ago...).

The problem with this compound is the craving at the end of the nigh, and if you take more it doesnt work, so basicly you start taking alot with no effect, except that you could come close to dangerous levels of methyl ephedrin.
 
I find the problem with meph is that it does keep working if you redose unike M1 where it just keeps you awake and scatty. I've never heard of heart issues associated with MDPV and never experienced any - and I've got through a lot of the stuff - but as a strong stimulant it wouldn't come as a surprise if it has some potential for it.

The doctor said it wasnt a Variocele, and that although there was fluid most of the size was the ball itself.
He also asked if SWIM worked with chemicals to which he replied no. Whilst being scanned the doctor said there was fluid but not enough to be classed a Hydrocele, a couple of cysts were present but normal and that the testicle appeared normal.
When sent back to the original doctor he was surprised by the results of the scan but said this was good news as the scan would of picked up anything nasty.
The doctor decided to try antibiotics to see if it was due to infection and wanted to see SWIM again in a month and said he may scan it again.
SWIM finished the course of antibiotics without any change at all and is due to go back to the hospital in a couple of days.
SWIM was just wondering if anyone on this forum has this problem or is aware of any reason why this would happen or if it would be very unlikely a result of the Meph and is just a horrible coincidence?
Any help/explanations would be very much appreciated.

Actually I stopped after the first one but you know what I mean.

EDIT: Did my moddy duty and forced myself to read it all anyway. Meph = dangerously swollen bollock likely to be related to "working with chemicals"?!?! Fuck that. Knees are one thing but anything that could fuck like that with my balls is a big no-no :|
 
Now i think on it, after i spent 3/4 months solidly abusing meph- daily towards the end (stopped about a month ago), i quit smoking at the same time but started again, now everytime i smoke a cigarette my hands go a bit numb/flushed with colour

i dunno, im in the mindstate to use meph as a scapegoat i guess the state my memories in smoking could always have done this to me, i think i'd remember it though..

Least my left nut hasn't swollen/my lips turned blue
 
Sod blue feet, i'd chop mine off for a decent batch of MD or some good pills :(

Strangely enough i used to get blue knees and elbows (nothing else) when i first started using heavily but by the end of my use i was doing 1-2grams average a day and although i'd still get the dopamine high my heartrate wouldnt increase, my hands knees ect would be normal i felt exactly the same except high. Also it changed from being a rushy stimulant high to the kind of mellow euphoria you get from crystal md, while the people i was living with would talk at 100mph and run around on insane missions like i used to do i'd just sit in a chair and relax

I miss meph :(

I'm prepared for the flaming but here goes anyway.

First apologies for using your quotes Sham, they're just the most recent in the thread. Its certainly nothing personal.

I'm finding it hard to accept all this 'mephedrone = killer drug' lark. Don't misquote me. I do not wish to play down any dangers of an untested, unresearched chemical. My own view is that as a very strong amphetamine-like drug it is safe to assume that any extended use or high dose use is likely to have serious consequences for the body. And as with any new drug we won't know the long-term consequences for perhaps 20-30 years, though F&B's take on the theoretical possibilities of heart problems due to Meph's structure is actually the most compelling negative case against meph I've seen.

However. Although there have been a few reports of people having some problems with one single use, which might be expected for any drug, I don't think those numbers are particularly high to be called significant. Nobody is dying from one single use. In fact nobody is dying from using mephedrone on its own at all. And let's face it, we are now talking millions of doses having been taken in the UK alone in the last year.

It seems what problems there are are largely being caused by binging of some sort. I'll agree meph lends itself to redosing too easily, I'd even say this is the biggest known problem with meph - but it doesn't make it a killer drug and its no reason to ban it. People have to take responsibility if they want freedoms and if you want nice legal cheap high quality mdma from Boots in the future then it might help if we all tried to get a grip on the binge thing now. With reference to no-one in particular, because loads have done it, it really doesn't help coming on to BL and whining that you took 6.5g of meph in 24 hours and your knees turned blue. Or even 2g Shammy. There's so much evidence on these pages to say that for most people 'less than a gram, maybe half a gramme' is enough for one session. It makes me think if LSD was new we'd have people coming on here saying they'd taken 1000's of mics for days on end and it drove them all mental, ergo LSD = mental drug. And that would be wrong wouldn't it?

Blue knees probably aren't much fun and probably are due to vasoconstriction. Which ain't great but it does go away. Pseudoephedrine is a vasoconstrictor but no-one calls that a killer drug. Perhaps in a better world where all drugs were legal Boots would sell meph but not to those with high blood pressure, heart problems etc. (Of course they'd sell mdma too so nobody would want meph anyway). That's the problem with this 'legal' status of meph. Prohibitionists will say "look, that's legal drugs for you, mephedrone causing all these problems". But this isn't legalization like it should be. People always forget the 'and regulation' bit. Boots drugs are regulated. Mephedrone isn't. Prohibition is still causing the problem.

I am not belittling the possible dangers of mephedrone....but I remember the early days of mdma, when we were all told it was deathly neuro-toxic, and we would fry our brains if we didn't die first off one dose. There was definitely a period where people began to blame all manner of ailments on mdma. "Its bad for your back" was one that spread quickly. Nothing to do with dancing non-stop for 8 hours of course. I don't believe we're all about to lose our right bollock.

I just think the thread needs a bit of perspective. Outside of BL I know of a lot of people using meph fairly sensibly (on the whole) and having nothing but a good time. Its stupidly quick rise in popularity is testimony to peoples natural desire to get high and have a good time. Despite millions of doses taken it has yet to wipe out the town the size of a very small bungalow. The problem with meph for me is its 'legal but not regulated' status - that's what is causing people to believe they can behave how they like with this drug.

I mostly agree with your sentiments actually, SHM. Despite my regular bouts of meph doom-mongering. I don't think any drug should be illegal no matter how toxic it may or may not be. I do think that in the absence of objective evidence subjective reports are the best we have - flawed as they inevitably are - and those reports are a pretty mixed bunch. Given the vast swathes of "Meph is powdered GOD!!!!11!!!!111!!!" posts/threads about the place I think it still gets a pretty good press even with curmudgeonly cunts like me ;)

I'm not generally (ever actually... at least I don't think so) one for hysterical anti-drug propaganda but there is something about meph that just doesn't sit right with me. My blue feet were just a passing annoyance - gone in a few days - but that's not what makes me uneasy. I've done ungodly amounts of stims in my time but not one of them has given me the willies like meph has. It just feels... wrong to me somehow :\

And yes, that's obviously purely subjective and sounds stupid. But it's the case with me. I also think it's massively overrated ;)

I think the way it's been so cynically marketed has probably given it too many black marks in my book for me to ever get close to objectivity on this one :\

PS: My bluefoot incident was with 2g taken over two days so only a borderline binge as far as I can tell.

Another dodgy side-effect to report here.

After mainly snorting around 1.3g over the course of 7 hours, I did another line, which immediately hurt more than anything else I've snorted. I knew my nose was going to bleed, and sure enough a minute or so later it started bleeding, but the blood was a very dark brown.

Nosebleeds are not uncommon for me, but I've never seen blood this colour, almost no redness to it at all. Has anyone else had this with meph or any other drug? And has anyone ever seen the colour of their blood on meph before, maybe from a different location?

No other side effects arose, apart from the usual sketchy heart feeling and sleep problems.
 
Dunno about brown specifically but stims often do funny things to the colour of blood in my experience - usually in terms of making it thick and dark. Meph also plays merry hell with my nostrils whenever I sniff it - for days afterwards too. Snotfest :|
