Due to what?

I'm sure meph is going to be a bit more prevalent over here in the coming weeks. I've got plenty of fleph to keep me going, however will power is not strong with me. Do you reckon even 1 sess on the meph could be detremental to the old ticker?
 
I took between 0.6-1.0g of meph 2 nights ago, then smoked god knows how much JWH-073 which got me totally paranoid and absolutly messed up for a couple of hours. Was not good at all, I wil be taking a fairly long time off meph.

My nose is also hurting from all the sniffing :/

Sorry if this question has been asked before but....

Would taking a small dose of meph on the tail end of MDMA be dangerous?

I know people say meph is a slight MAOI & that mixing MDMA & an MAOI is a big NO-NO, but mixing the 2 would hardly kill me, would it ?! :?
 
I probably would have taken it even after hearing the horror stories if it hadn't been for you warning folk off it.

Seems like I'm the only one listening though. :D

I even had a couple of caps in my possesion last week.
 
done it about a dozen times since new year, never more than 1g in one session. Will not be doing it again as I'm convinced more than ever this stuff is cardio-toxic. Was fun while it lasted (first half a dozen times), from there on it's down hill.

Guess i'lll just have to hold out a while longer until Mandy returns.... [i know.... I could be holding out for a while....!]

Any thoughts on taking meph while on an SSRI? Or methylone? I've read posts from people here who say they've done it and it was fine, and posts from people who seemed to think serotonin syndrome was a risk.
 
I've never found Mephedrone moreish at all, infact that's a view shared by all of my friends as well and something everyone considers a plus point.

It has however made me feel very emotional and down during the week the past two times.
 
Having been lurking here for a while, I will take the plunge and throw in my opinions on Meph.

I consider myself a fairly experianced substance user and given the situation with MDMA at present (one of my fav chems) I have dabbled a few times with Meph. I agree with those that are suggesting caution given the relative newness of the substance but I think we are in danger of demonsing something we dont yet fully understand.
Reading some of the responses anyone would think taking Methamphetamine / cocaine / speed or indeed MDMA was without risks or that all the risks with those substances are understood. Not to mention that these substances are purchased on the black market and there is a significant risk that we are taking just about anything, this is well borne out by the current situation with MDMA in th UK and beyond.
The best advice for ayone would be not to take anything unless there was a real medical need to do so, but we arent really here for that are we ?
Surely showing restraint and not binging on any substance is blanket advice, unless someone can suggest a chemical that gives good effects that doesnt have a downside? especially if abused..I'm still looking !!
I think there is a danger of taking an establishment view of "meph is bad" without any substantial evidence, I dont think a few reports of side effects aquired via an internet forum really make for a scientific study or a case to condem a substance. My experiance of this approach is that users are alienated and cease to take any notice of advice and information which does nothing for harm reduction.

^ Nobody (with any sense) thinks that taking methamphetamine is without risk and to a lesser extent cocaine, amphetamine & MDMA, but what makes meph so worrysome is the psychological addiction aspect that makes redosing so compulsive in combination with the worrysome side effects. If you consider that meth, amphetamine & cocaine are used medicinally, it means they have to have passed trials for their safety (& MDMA doesn't have the compulsive redosing aspect). Alltogether, these aspects of meph make it very nasty indeed. In fact at the Leeds festival just gone, there was one report of a cardiac arrest due to meph (under the name meow). A death is sadly just around the corner at this rate

I don't think anyone's trying to demonise meph, it's more that there is no real research done on it whatsoever so user's experience is all we have to go on other than the chemical structure and action of the drug itself. User are consistently reporting the same problems after use - vasoconstriction (purple knees,) uncomfortable chest/heart issues and so forth - and the chemical side is widely seen as looking well dodgy. Put the two together with the fiendishness and I'd say that's some pretty compelling evidence to justify recommending using with great caution if at all.

Of course more established drugs are known to cause problems too but they are just that - more established. We may not know absolutely everything about them but we know enough to be reasonably sure of what to expect. That's just not the case with meph so - given the sheer quantity and consistency of negative reports - advising extra caution seems perfectly reasonable to me. It's not even been tested on animals let alone people so to not challenge the "meph is great! woot!" brigade would be kinda irresponsible for a harm reduction site, no?

i feel like shit today. there is various reasons why im going to stop for awhile. mainly the fact i dont want my limbs turning purple & fucking my heart up. plus i feel like shit from doing it a few nights ago. the high is great but its never worth the repercussions, ill stick with my shitty alcohol for awhile
