Mephedrone Megathread: Five heart attacks later...

I had red/purple, blotchy legs - especially the knees and ankles/feet for a good week or so after using meph. It faded away after that but was kinda annoying at the time. Worrying too as it went on for so long and I hadn't really used a huge amount of meph. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much, keep doing the things you're doing and try not to think about it too much. If it gets worse or if you're really, genuinely concerned that it might be more serious then see a doctor. For me it was just a minor worry and irritation for a week or so - seems to right itself with time.

I am naturally a worrier, those around me say it doesn't look that bad, but of course I'm going to see more wrong with myself than they do. I'm going to try to get a lot of sleep and monitor them closely today. Ill keep everyone updated on what goes down.

I think it's time i stopped this shit, taking it's toll on my health. keep getting funny chest pains, sore elbows and numbness etc. my brain feels fucked. pray there's no irreversible damage.it's virtually impossible to moderate my use till there's no buzz to be had, just a burning sensation and hallucinations. I had a bomb at about 5am this morning then passed out. kept twitching then woke up having vivid hallucinations. went back to sleep and felt like shit all day at work. it makes you smell funny as well. hope i have the willpower to stay away once the bad effects/comedown has subsided.

This drug sounds like one of the worst things to hit the mainstream drug scene as of yet. I can't think of any that has been around for such a short amount with soo many reported problems and abuse.

^It's terrifyingly popular too. I was at a party with the sort of goons who would never usually do or even know about research chemicals, and the drone was flowing like water. Most of these people don't even take the slightest bit of caution, not with something as legal (and therefore safe) as "M-Cat".

A dangerous assumption and an often forgotten argument against prohibition. The bristol scene is also flooded with it which is obviously worrying and at a party I was at last weekend there was loads of young girls asking around for it.

Strange that mephedrone didnt get this popular in belguim. And our XTC scene is as big as in the netherlands and the UK.

So after a few more tylenol, and a few hours of rest I stretched out my knees and walked around the house. They feel a bit tight, but I'm not sure if that's just from laying down and moving them for so long or sometning else. There's very light splotchiness, almost undetectable, nothing like how they were last night or this morning. I've been in a sitting position now for about 30min and they seem to be ok besides me burning a whole through them with my thoughts. Hopefully this will continue to improve so I can go back to work soon.

I really appreciate everyone who has commented on my situation so far, and I still welcome any advice, comments, etc. As far as a hospital visit goes, as of right now I don't see it being a necessity, although if at any time I would have felt coldness or numbness then I would have already been there.

So glad I flushed the rest.

^^^Maybe there's more decent drugs in Belgium at the moment, there's a kind of perfect storm of MDMA drought and a deluge of mephedrone in the UK.
Glad to hear you're feeling better Buddy.

I must have been lucky with Meph, because after 2 year of using at least once a month, sometime up to 10g/month I've had absolutely no negative side effects. In fact, I've felt much less depressed after quitting MDMA and have enjoyed parties more (less tripping out and more chat/dancing).

I've never done more than 1g in a day (and that was only once, normally more like 500mg), and also haven't had a comedown as such, just tiredness from lack of sleep. I've never had it at home though, same with any drug as I don't see the point, and am not someone who likes to push things.

I certainly had worse side effects from MDMA, speed, coke and acid than 4mmc, and have been far healthier mentally after giving those up (about 12 months ago). I used to get depressed and feel bad mid-week, now nothing like that.

No, all our MDMA disappeared since last year, we are in the same situation as the UK, i havent found any mdma in a year, only damn MCPP. Our amphetamine also turned into complete crap.
Thats why it suprises me mephedrone didnt show up.

^Yeah, using Viagra to fight vasoconstriction reminds me of junkies who keep a coke of wrap handy "in case they OD"...

Anyone ever use this stuff to study?

I've actually found it kind of useful.. like for the first hour it's hard to get much done because you're feeling so good, but after the peak part wears off, so long as you can resist the urge to keep dosing (a bitch to do) you have a good 4-5 hours of boosted brain abilities. 85mg helped me sit down and read an entire organic chem chapter, and actually get most of it, all in one sitting.

What dose did you take to study?

I've mixed them before but something tells me it was a horribly unsafe idea lol

I dunno, i'd like to know the science behind this, could adding a vasodilator to a vasoconstrictor be in fact bad for the heart? I never take big mephedrone doses tough, but just to be safe:D

How would viagra work to counteract the vasoconstriction?

I'd definitely suggest against this. I think I remember reading about stories of viagra combined with safer stimulants that haven't ended well. Viagra is known to take its toll on the heart and so is Mephedrone albeit in different ways.
