Mephedrone & MDMA cross tolerance

Does mephedrone effect serotonin to the extent of reducing the effects of MDMA? I plan to bomb some nice tan crystals on the 18th, if I indulge in meph before then will my serotonin be too low for me to roll properly without damaging myself? (Sorry if I'm missing the painfully obvious answer, I had a good google before posting)
 
Good question, and one I've wondered about myself. I've been on a 5 month break from MDMA, but I've done mephedrone a few times since then. I believe the jury is still out on how much serotonin mephedrone releases, but what I've found is that its believed to be significantly less than MDMA, and has more of a dopamine effect. I know bkMDMA releases 1/3 the amount of serotonin as mdma (according to Wikipedia).
 
^seconded and just from how the high feels and the lack of comedown it seems to be a lot tamer on serotonin, not that it isnt really rough on other shit....
 
I always get depressed after using pillz. I get a bit depressed after methylone too. Not after meph. So imoh the worst seretonin drainer is mdma, then m1 and then meph - it feels more on dopamin side.
 
I've never gotten any depression after using drone... And I quite enjoy this substance, shall we say... For me, though, I find it "feels" closer to cocaine than MDMA, which leads me to believe that it's got more of a dopamine effect going on there.
 
From what I've read on the subject (and I've read quite a lot) I have pretty much come to the conclusion that in the short term, mephedrone after mdma won't affect the mephedrone other than less serotonin action but mdma after mephedrone will almost completely kill your roll. In the long term (3-6 weeks) there will be no substantial cross tolerance between the two chemicals.


The reason for the meph affected the mdma so negatively is because mdma DOES indeed use quite a bit of dopamine to give you all that energy and euphoria that you get during your peak. So low amounts of dopamine will make the mdma less neurotoxic but also a lot less exciting.
 
^ They don't work well together imo (and a few friends) but my girlfriend said she was on meph once and someone gave her a bomb of MDMA and she was fucked..

I feel really depressed after taking amphetamine sulphate?.. how depressed you feel on the comedown is not really a valid indication of how much serotonin it drains :p

What was your dosage?
I prefer adderal/ or some normal ass amps like coke as a work helper.
That shit was wayy too speedy to me.

Not even much of a "high" till I took like 16-17 mg's at one time.
just hella energy.
