hello everyone, im a new member, been reading for a coupole of weeks and registered this morning, just before meph arrived..

well, im 23, male, look after myself, and occasionally use mdma, pills, phet, coke and very occasionally ket,...

i usually have a session with mates once or twice a month at the most..

anyway, i had heard about "meow" from a freind, and thought it sounded interesting, so i spent some time doing some research and decided to get some.. it arrived this morning, and id like to give you a running commentary on my experience.

about 20 mins ago i bombed about 150mg, and shortly afterwards snorted about 50mg...

JESUS! snorting that stuff is NOT pleasant! but within 3 minutes... wow..

coming up is bloody intense, eyes wobbly, a bit dizzy, found myself wandering around the house doing nothing, but doing it fast lol, ive just sat down, feeling very euphoric, warm and rushy.. tingling and loving this music at the minute..

very similar to mdma so far i would say...! :D

somebody talk to meeee!! lol

about 30 mins in now... definatly feeling very good, jaw tension a bit, but no worse that anything else, .. but i my jaw goes to mars and back every time i have a session anyway..!

definatly just want to dance about, eyes are very fuzzy, but in a good.. happy way?!

i think my trip to the shops may have to be postponed for a while why i sit here and wobble to this music for a bit longer haha

heads calmed down a bit now, but the initial come-up off insufflation is amazing! definatly was not expected it to be as intense as that, and ive got to say i am impressed..

im guessing the bomb will start to take effect, if it hasnt already, but the intensity of those 20 minutes has slightly subsided into a very very nice euphoric buzz/tingle,

^wrong,, it keeps going up and down lol, waves of heavy euphoria....

its about 45 mins in now!

ahhhh! need to talk to someone haha!!

so far.. i would have to say, very similar to MDMA in intensity, however not as messy, but not as clear as phet.. as i feel fuzzy headed... but in that kinda really pleasant, eyes could roll way..

its bothering me that i am on my own, wish a had somebody to talk to!!! this is me just have a wee taster before me n my freinds go out the weekend, ive been txting my mate constantly for the past 20 mins, n i think hes gettin annoyed now because he's at work lol

very low dose, higher doses have hit me harder than mdma has before. (obviously not as europhic as mdma but still fucking strong)

glad you like it though, for the price and legalality nothing beats it.

about 3 hours have passed now, and starting to feel pretty much normal, just a residual tingle and slight jaw tension..

got to say tho, and agree with you, legal and so cheap, its impressive!!

definatly a thumbs up from me anyway!

next time give at least 200mg a go, 250 if you want a real slap ;)

Alot of people have been saying about its dangers, but on other forums there are people who go through grams and grams every week and dont seem to have any problems, short term it looks safe its just the long term damage we need to be careful of.

It really is those potential longterm health issues that are the concern, Bigbrown. In the short term there doesn't appear to be a huge physical problem for most other than vasoconstiction and complications from mixing with other drugs. If the heart valve concerns are accurate you wouldn't know anything was wrong until your heart stops working a few years down the line though. Meph is not even an RC cos there has been no research done on it yet - it can in no way be considered safe so best to exercise caution when it comes to size and frequency of dosing until more is known about it really :)

people have been caineing it for a long time now, its not any more dangerous than any other stimulant, probably less neurotoxic that things like mdma, no worse for the heart than amphetamine, dont know why everyone on here seems to think of it as a killer drug.

How can you possibly know that it's no more harmful than MDMA or amphetamine? Are you the lone scientist who's been secretly carrying out research in this area without mentioning it? Do you have a time machine? Can you see the future? Nobody knows whether it's safe or not yet which is part of the concern. Mephedrone hasn't existed for long enough for anything to be known about it's longterm toxicity and it's yet to have been studied by anyone. Unless you really are that lone scientist :D

The evidence for cardiotoxicity (specifically pertaining to potential damage to the heart valves) is fairly convincing. From what I recall, mephedrone metabolises in the body to a compound that is a known cardiotoxin. Also, it's close chemical cousins are known to be cardiotoxic. This alone is enough to cause anyone to think twice about what they may be doing to themselves and maybe think of keeping use as minimal as possible, no? And when combined with the complete lack of research or experience of the logterm effects it really should be.

This all adds up to some of the reasons people that understand pharmacology (ie not me and I suspect not you either ;)) have some understandable concerns about it. I'm not saying it's a killer drug - I'm saying that the current knowledge of the effects is severely lacking and what knowledge there is is somewhat ominous. Use with caution is all - it's not the magic wonderdrug so many seem to think :\
