Evening all. This is my first post so please bare with me and I'm hoping I have posted in the right section.
Long story short I have been using mephedrone for the past 3 years. I started when I was 18 and am now 21. Up until around 6 months ago everything was fine. I was using at raves and occasionally with friends at house party's etc. I would go through an average of 2g a session around once a month, but every now and again I would have a heavy one around 5g over 24 hours. I am aware this is excessive before everyone jumps down my throat. 6 months ago the day after a rave I got bad chest pains and it made my have a mini panic attack and I wasn't myself. The pains lasted for a couple of weeks with back pain and arm pain too.
I laid off it for a while and then used again, a smaller amount of around 1.5g over 12 hours which was low for Me due to having a tolerance now. The next day the same thing happened.
I bit the bullet and went to the docs and had an ecg done that come back all clear. So I decided to use again around 1g over 12 hours. This time I actually had pain in the rave which had me checking my pulse constantly and holding my chest which ruined the night.
Anyway I recently started using mdma as a cleaner substitute and I've had no side effects no chest pains etc from using around 0.7g a session mostly bombed a small amount snorted.
No chest pains for a while now but I'm still a sucker for craving mephedrone.
Anyway my question is does anyone know why I had these pains with drone and not mdma? Could the mephedrone be damaging my heart or could it be because it's effecting my lungs from sniffing so much a session whereas I'm not sniffing a massive amount of mdma, but I don't see why this would be because even when I do 0.5g of mephedrone which is nothing for me coming down from doing 5g a session the next day I would have chest pains and get worried which would make it worse. Just want to know what's causing it and if anyone else has experience the same. Who knows how cardiotoxic mephedrone is as it's not been about for long.
Cheers for reading.
