Mephedrone and MDMA cross tolerance?

I never really used to take mephedrone a lot, until 3 weeks ago when I had a lot in my life go wrong and kinda got carried away and had a 2 week binge. (I know, pretty stupid). It kinda stopped affecting me by the last few days, just kept me from crashing. I realised I had a problem and stopped.

Now, MDMA I haven't done often, once in a few months really. Tolerance shouldn't have been really high.

Recently been to a festival, and took 500mg of MDMA throughout the day. Didn't work, worked on my bf though, and he does it more often than me. Do you think the mephedrone could have affected this?

Take a break man, give your brain a break.
You lost the magic, and as both have similar mechanisms of action they do have a cross tolerance.
Serotonin takes much longer than a few days to regenerate.
No studies that I know of have studied duration of serotonin regeneration but anecdotal evidence may even point to a a month or maybe even more for levels to return back to normal

Yeah, I'm never touching drone again... Dirty stuff. And I'll take about 6 months off for Molly I guess. Stick to other stuff for now
