(Mephedrone/250 mg?) First time: Once and never again

Towards the end of my meph (ab)using days i found it easy to say no, turn down a line or just not do it..

yeah people are responsible BUT cocaine for instance has been shown to alter the organization of neurons in the neucleus accumbens. in other words it rewires your reward pathways. this is a physical change in your brain that alters your behaviour.

i am pretty sure mephedrone does this. self control is all well and good but looking down your nose at people because they find something very addictive with a subjective experience that feels like they have no control over their actions (however false that belief may be), is just ignorant.

yes in the end self control did take over and i stopped taking it LONG before the ban came in, in the uk (five months in fact), BUT when i was taking it regularly i found my use was very hard to control to the point where it felt like the drug controlled me. i craved it, i loved it, and after it wore off i felt so empty, bored and sad.

drugs dont completely cause a behaviour but they sure as hell do trigger them quite often (even in the face of health problems). meph is unbeliveably addictive for MANY people. i'm not the only one who found this to be true.:\
 
I think the addictive nature of the drug depends on the person. I had a gram of coke last week, had a few lines one night and put it away and never even thought about it for over a week. If that was meph it would be a totally different story. I can take take or leave coke cause the buzz to me is totally over-rated and over-priced, but meph is an amazing buzz in my opinion.

also the ablity to leave it alone depends on wether the comedown will be okay or brutal.

coke never gave me cravings but meph caused intense cravings probably because i enjoyed the high so much that it was hard to convince myself i didn't want it

for me i found i loved meph the way i loved speed (in a needy sort of way), whereas i only sometimes loved cocaine when it was of amazing purity. also the price of cocaine left a remorsefull sting that speed or meph didn't, maybe that had something to do with it. if pure meph was £60 a gram i'd probably have repected it more and used less.

man... thats sounds like a shitty experience. the only time i had just mephedrone by itself it was an amazing time. about 300 mg crystal mephedrone insufflated, and WOW, tbh i liked it better that mdma (not sure if im allowed say that on this site :P)
it was intensely euphoric, i had a really great conversations with my best friend, and it was really trippy.
all round great drug imo
 
I had a friend who was into it too much and I agree about the whole price thing. If 1g of drone cost the same as 1g of coke people wouldn't of railed it so much.

Meph came in at a time when us Brits needed it most, fed up of weekend binges of 15-20 pills full of bz fucking p. meph came in and saved the day. obviously it was addictive, but right now i miss those times man they were the days. 10 grams of drone for the weekend with the lads, off to fabric to skank til 6 in the morn then go to a mates and sniff more. couldn be a better weekend.

nonetheless, i do prefer mdma. but i think calling it 'a cheap mdma immitation' is not right, it was great and what it lacked in empathy it made up for with the cokey side to it.

^^I agree with all of this post. It has nothing to do with MDMA other than the fact that they are both entactogens. Mephedrone is a "real" drug to say the least. The best coke on earth couldn't hold a candle to the beautiful, empathy inducing euphoria I experienced the first few times. This chem is the reason I joined Bluelight in the first place :) That being said MDMA is the king of all chems;)
 
I dont get everybodys problem with mephedrone. It's messy yes, and extremley moreish, but I've always had good fun with it. Share a gram with 1-2 other mates, and once it's gone it's gone. Pigging out on it is not a good idea, limit whats in front of you IMO....

I just need to clarify, even though this TR somewhat demonizes 'drone, it's not that I didn't enjoy the high. I liked it. The problem is that I liked it way too much in addition to the compulsive redosing behavior (I actually at one point walked out to my car where I'd set aside most of it). I foresaw myself being wheeled into the ER and trying to explain to the nurses what the hell I'd been taking, explaining why I had purple knees, etc.

I also agree the high is nothing like MDMA at all (I guess my harsh comparison was pointless), nor like coke... it's its own animal for sure. One best left to others with better self-control.

i have no experience with mephedrone and don't plan to, but have to ask... has anyone purified their mephedrone (washes or recrystallization) and compared its taste/odor from before purification to after? keeping in mind the mephedrone is made in china, you can imagine it's purity does not live up to any specified standards and it's just up to the lab as to how far they want to go with the purification.

you say the taste reminds you of fish and sweaty rubber gloves. in the mephedrone synthesis that i'm aware of, it consists of 3 reactions. i won't go into detail but i will say that the third and final reaction uses an equal molar (or larger) amount of methylamine in relation to the feedstock. as you know, methylamine's smell is reminiscent of fish and it is horrid. it sounds like methylamine contamination to me.

i have recrystalised it after an acetone wash (when i got a very clump white powder). it came out like a soild white rock but although it smelled less it still smelled and made my sweat smell of it. its just a stinky drug and no matter how pure it is it just reeks
 
I've taken 250 mgs orally in a gelcap, then around 3 hours later, I redosed with 250 more. This was really nice crystal which I had already taken once before. I had a lot of fun with it but the comedown and aftereffects are BAD. Insufflating works well too for sure. That being said, I've taken it 3 times and don't ever plan on doing it again :-)
 
mephedrone really isnt "home infront of the tv" kinda drug.

man, if you're at a party wih insane light and you got your partner or best friends there, MMC is amazing! its very intense and emotional, and borderline trippy too.
