mephedrone (240mg oral) - first time - " *bongo feet + zip* "
I tested my bag of meph at 5mg gummed, then 30mg nasal and 60mg nasal to no perceptible effect. The taste was sour/salty and the nasal absorption seemed poor/stingy. So the next day, following the initial trials, I loaded a gel cap with aprox 235-245mg and took it orally.
40mins after dosing, I was sitting on the can. I was finished and wiping when all of a sudden a monstrous rush washed over me. I buckled over on the seat with my chest on my lap and my vision went white starry. It felt like I was about to lose consciousness so I slapped myself in the face a couple times. My pulse immediately doubled from 70bpm resting to 140bpm. The rush came in two more waves and I came up very fast and disoriented. It reminded me of the confusion that I felt the first time I came up on MDMA and had no idea what to expect.
After 10min the initial rushing leveled out and the confusion disappeared. I felt clear headed and calm, and my heart rate settled down to about 100bpm. I had an MDMA type body load with clenching/grinding teeth, sucking on my mouth and lips, and rubbing my thighs compulsively. The buzz was pretty much identical to the standard pressed ecstasy pills I've had that are comprised of MDxx and amphetamine - euphoric and speedy. I became chatty but not in a overly confident sense (ie not at all like cocaine imo). There was very little empathy; emotional side was more akin to amphetamine where I have increased awareness and perception but not a sense of connection with others. I had a cold sweat, and had to don a winter parka although I was indoors. I craved fresh air and opened a window while continuing to chat. The chat was less guarded than usual and I blurted out a few things that were not well thought out.
The peak lasted about 60min; a minor crash followed for about 2hrs. The crash was closest to amphetamine, a total physical drain where my back ached and my legs felt like lead. I had to lie down and listen to soothing music. Emotionally it was fairly light, requiring nothing more than a conscious attitude adjustment and the usual cognitive defense against depression. 3hrs after I tried to go for a walk and found that my body was struggling. I was ok emotionally at this point, and had satisfactorily dealt with any depression. I bought a few groceries but upon returning home, felt incapable of putting any effort into cooking. I had a bowl of cereal and watched some porn; orgasm was very nice. 6hrs in I felt exhausted and tried to sleep, but found sleep difficult. I took an otc sleep aid (combo apap + diph) and eventually fell asleep.
Upon waking the next day, I felt normal. I had a bit of muscle twitching in my left bicep and in the temple area on the right side of my head. Instances of white starry floaters remained in my peripheral vision. My heart ached a bit, the kind of feeling I get after eating an excessive amount of fatty food. But these effects decreased over the course of the day, and were gone completely by the following night.
If I were to describe my experience in one word it would be 'jacked'. The was an intense physical energy and my mind was cranking at an all time high rate. The high/euphoria was not as good as M1 or MDPV for me (both of which are total bliss, and very good empathogens imo), but the lack of emotional crash was nice. Perhaps this is better suited as a party/social drug than the aforementioned. I would probably rank mephedrone above straight amphetamine in terms of euphoria (have not smoked meth though), although the duration was extremely short, even shorter than expected. I did not feel compelled to redose and have not used it since this experience.
edit: should add that I experienced little to no paranoia; panicked slightly with jump in heart rate but aside from that, felt very calm.
