I have been having HORRIBLE problems with my memory, I can only remember things that I try very hard to remember, and usually during a normal conversation, I wont remember important things that are said before the conversation is over. It has gotten so bad that I everyday I write a list of what I need to do and I carry it around with me to check things off and see what else I have to do every single day. I also have to write down pretty much EVERYTHING that I don't need to do/remember every single day, and also ask everyone to make lists when they have something for me.

I remember reading about that drug that makes your memory improve. Is that still legal? Does that really help? Can anyone PM me some information on it? Is there anything else anybody can reccomend that will improve my memory? (BTW, I am positive this is a substance related side effect, and I have pretty much cutoff use of substances at the moment).

I'm not for sure on legalities(all depends on your location also), but I know there are several different drugs that are supposed to improve cognitive function. Do a google search for 'nootropics'.

The fact that you suspect that your problems are substance related leads me to believe that you are more than likely familiar with a condition called 'Olney's Lesions'. If not, however, you might be interested in the following link:
