one of the great things about the 90s and early 00s was buying CDs.

in a way, CDs sucked because you had to pay for the whole album (and listen to it) even if you didn't like some of the tunes.

sometimes, though, the songs you didn't like so much would grow on you and that was cool, too.

a song came on the radio the other day i hadn't heard since the 90s.

it was from an album i bought before a trip to europe and i didn't have my own itinerary and it was just a bunch of traveling and for reasons i don't remember, i only had that ONE CD with me the whole trip so I listened to the shit out of it and had that experience where the songs grew on me.

it kind of put me in a bittersweet mood, hearing that song again, and i was surprised i remembered all the lyrics because i haven't even thought about that song in a long, long time but it stuck with me somehow.

i remember doing a lot that trip -- went cool places, rekindled connections... but for some reason all i could ever remember about it was sitting on the bus listening to that album over and over.

I download my tunes, album per album, i don't like to pick a track, i prefere to listen the whole artist's project, that's the point of an album
