Is there a member search facility when I hit 50 posts?

Hmmm do you mean sorting by location and interests and stuff? If so then not that I am aware of. If you just mean to find a specific person's profile, for me I usually click on their name after viewing a post they made. You could search by going to advanced search and searching by username though.
You can also make other users your contacts without actually friending them which aids in keeping track of them if you like.

Yeah just to find them if you know their name. I dont have to worry about location.

Yep searchMenu/advancedSearch/searchByUserName is the method I use then.
Someone else may have a more crafty method though.
