Misc Memantine benefits?

I'm thinking about buying some memantine online for my anhedonia/social phobia/depression. I had great success with amphetamines for 3 years but I grew tolerant. Are there any major side effects I should be aware about?

Nobody can give you a source. Source discussion, even of legal drugs, is not allowed on Bluelight.

Memantine has little effect on social phobia and will make you more depressed FYI.

The biggest side effect with it is brain fog which can be mild to intense when you first start it or you are adjusting your dosage. It is a pretty well-tolerated compound overall but like any drug can have instances of weird side effects. Keep the dose below 50mg a day and you minimize the side effect risk.
 
It isn't guaranteed but its not unheard of.

It has failed to treat depression in clinical trials and when I was taking it, I noticed a slight worsening of depression, no improvement.
 
Everybody's different. My issue correlates to a faulty dopamine system (Self-diagnosed). I've heard great things about memantine. It's a d2 receptor agonist so if anything this would help depression.
 
Memantine is a NMDA, 5HT3 and nACh antagonist as well, this is why it may cause depression. I never experienced it my self though so I cant share any personal experience information about it.
