Dante.. how could you not be catching up with people when we're all in the same house together? I'm slightly offended that you think we're all going to be comatose or something. I know Melbourne people have a reputation for being hardcore or something but it's not like it used to be (not that I'd know but I've heard stories). We spend our parties and recoveries dancing and talking and having fun. It's not a bunch of people lying around being monged watching tv or passed out. Or is it just that you know you won't be able to keep up with the shufflers?;)

MDMA.. we NEED your records.. we've heard Krystian's and Corch's so many times I think I could mix them myself;).

As to Robertrollie making an appearance.. well, I can't promise that but I'm pretty sure Jay and Silent Bob will be there;).

Butros! will be ncie to actually talk after saying hi in the line for Bassic then not seeing you again all night:)

And Moebro.. will I ever be forgiven?;)

Ah yes I remember that hurried moment, I lost my friends and the proceeded to find them and ignore everyone else for the night, haha, no that wasn't the case at all.... shh.
 
Sounds like everyone is mighty excited bout this. Umm but i'm feeling rather dumb here cos I pretty much got not a lot of clue about what everyone is on about. I've often been tempted to go to BL meetups at events but I always seem to get side tracked or run out of time. Would have been good to catch up with the BLers at Bassic but suprise suprise got too caught up in music and with long lost friends i hadn't seen in ages but bumped in to. HIjinx maybe u could PM me and explain a bit, I live in Melb (well the burbs anyway) and this kinda sounds like a good oportunity what ever it is to meet some new folk.

Hijinx... Sure thing I'll bring my D&B vinyl, maybe some of my other older stuff too, depending on what I can get onto the plane (using Mocha's hand luggage space for a second bag of vinyl maybe? ;)) But be warned... I have touched the decks about twice in the last 6 months so I suck mightily at the moment...

I shall be dorking it up mightily for this one.. I have a Bluelight banner I made for Utopia NYE 2001 (anybody remember that?) and when I was in the UK I got a bunch of people to sign it.. I want to add to my collection so don't miss out on being immortalised - be there! =D

on a side note.. if I'm sounding a little ott I'm severely sleep deprived and it's 5am and I *can't* get any rest and I'm home alone.. too much plur?;)
 
Well I just mixed what I thought was a pretty damn decent set of my old prog-house earlier at our party, so you can be sure that I will try to repeat it when I get down there :) Was great fun mixing all the old favorites.

oooh... the thought of EC, FJ and NtheC in the one room again!

Less than a month to go! Anyone who lives locally and can bring something to sit on outdoors will be hugged:) We have a big garage for smokers if it rains and I'll look into heating it somehow but we have a bit of a chair shortage.

Any funky lighting (coloured strings of bulbs, lava lamps etc) also appreciated!
 
^ I may just have a solution to your potential heating problem.
Have a look around for an old washing machine ditched in hard rubbish collection. Rip out the inner steel washing drum (the bit where you put your clothes) - as it makes a mighty fine brazier/ container for outside fires. All the holes allow the fire to get very toasty, yet its safe to use around even the most uncoordinated of people ;) I think should have one somewhere.....

If i'm driving I'll bring seatage, but i bags two posts of the garage for my hammock! =D
 
hmmmm this sounds like a good retreat from parents and uni and stuff..... but i will have to see how uni is and will decide closer to the date

I drove home from Global on the weekend wearing my WMJ tshirt. Got a few looks when I went into a services petrol station at 7am looking completely battered and wearing that tshirt :D

I've had a look at the plane flights and prices and to get from Sydney to Melbourne and back would be around $200, which is pretty expensive. Like I said in my PM a while back, I don't know my timetable yet either, nor how my budget will stretch, but if its looking good I'll try and make it to Melbourne for that weekend. Seems like half of the Australian Bluelighters will be there :D
 
Bah, I was sorta thinkin' I'd be keen to come now, would be nice to see people I haven't seen in a while. But there's no way I'm gonna be able to wrangle the time off work... unless I change the weekend I was going to get off work for my birthday to being this weekend... and considering that's only postponing it for a week... that'd be a pretty nice b'day present to meself.

Lemme see what I can wrangle.
