Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre (Melbourne) is currently conducting a study which aims to examine the use of psychostimulant drugs, such as amphetamines, cocaine and ecstasy. The study aims to describe the characteristics of people using psychostimulant drugs regularly; the experience of withdrawing from these drugs; and experiences of treatment. The research is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging.

If you have been or are currently a regular user of amphetamines, cocaine and/or ecstasy and are over the age of 18, you may be eligible for participation in the study. It involves an interview that takes up to 2 hours to complete. All interviews are confidential. Topics covered in the interviews include the participant's drug use, physical and mental health, experience of withdrawing from stimulant drugs and experience of treatment.

The study is open to residents of Victoria. Most interviews will be conducted face-to-face in Fitzroy or a location convenient to you. There is also some capacity to conduct interviews over the phone.

You will be compensated for inconvenience and travel.

If you live in Victoria, you can contact the research team for further information by:
