^^ How's that!? I was jumping around at work, yelling, and i won $14 :D It's the first time i've ever won anything melbourne cup-ish :D:D
Me too! :D I've always lost on the Melbourne Cup. It's a nice change, I must admit.
My sister won on the same horse too, but if the horse that came second had put its nose over the line first, she would of won the trifecta......lots of $$$.

trifecta... my best friend is in melbourne at the moment for the cup, and her friend won the trifecta... it paid $1044

I wasted 10 bucks (5 each way) on stupid Activation. Damn you for having such a cool name.
I also lost a dollar on the horse that was pegged to lose. But that was expected. In the near impossible event that every other horse was struck down instantaneously with equine avian flu I would have won 50.
I just bet for the horse with the name I like most. I've won 3 times in the last 6 years so I guess it works sometimes. My friends and I are always talking about getting activated when psyching each other up for something so thus Activation won this year. Not the race though. Enjoy your future as a glue stick fucker.
Work put on a barbeque and free beer so I guess I recouped my cash in beverages anyways.

Ahh..spring racing carnival....I'm a punter, and picked 4 out of the 10 winners today, including Delta Blues...though I was panicking when Pop Rock almost stuck its nose in front with 50m to go....

My 'hilarious' joke for the day involved comments about it counting more than coming first at the very end being repeated ad nauseum.

I went to Derby Day and didn't actually see a horse race all day.
I did, however, see horse print suits. So impressed with the fashions
