(Melb) Two Tribes 2006 - Sat 25th FEB REVIEWS (Melbourne Park)

ok me check list is done.

Tickets : check

Accommadation: check

What to wear: check

Pick up friends at 10:30am for road trip: check

Getting excited and wont sleep tonight because of two tribes: check

Partying hard and safe: check


See you all there ppl if i remember i try and see ya's at the meet up, that's if the misses let's me leave the dance floor since its her first time :-)

it think its a blessing in disguise.. indoor courts are quite large and don't exactly have the best accoustics

3.5hrs... Long? Buwahhahaah.... The man is only starting to get warmed up! ;) ... I thought Armin & Tiesto doing their solo 6 & 8hrs sets was huge... that was until I listened to this wikked live Armin mix I been hooked on recently... I only have 2 hrs from the set but the announcer says he was playing in a possible 12hr set 8o !!!!

Ok peoples.... will be off to catch plane in not too long... :) Soooo Meetup is set... Hope everyone has a wikked time @ Two Tribes (and the unavoidable recovery parties the next day ;) )

Oh...n what's the plan 4 tonight? I think I should check out Bass Station and see how it rates vs Sydney clubs. Sounds goooood.... =D
 
yeh meetup sounds cool... i'll do my best to get there, but that entirely depends on me getting my break from work at the right time... if so i'll be the guy in uniform

I'm referring to the fact that a very good number of people are going to want to see Lee Coombs + Dylan Rhymes, and the Yarra Room holds about 400 people....it'll be no room to move, if not a line out the door to get it...

Getting on a train (or should I say a bus...XPT service is fucked too...grr) in about 4hrs to come down to Oz's finest city....1am meetup @ Vodafone? I'm there....see you suckers on the dancefloor ;)

ahh i told u i just wouldnt be able to sleep 2day away. already been up since 8. every1 else is still sleeping here n i just cant close my eyes. gotta love the excitment but i hate the waiting game!~!!
 
yay .. totally pumped up for this only a few hours to go.

I am in Camberwell ATM and the skuy is very dark and angry, fair bit of lightning and rain.

God I hope the storms pass and its a clear night tonight!!

so the ticket system is the same as summerdayze right? Ticket at door, and wrist band when leaving so you can come back in?
 
^^^^ i think its usually 2am, not sure about this year though.

TYPICAL MELBOURNE WEATHER...huge thunderstorm but they are all over now, hopefully the rain stays away, it just makes things easier.

very pumped for tonite, just listen to a small set from eddie halliwell, got me right in the mood. cant wait to walk over the bridge from the MCG and hearing the doof doof doof as i get closer to melbourne park...i hope everyone has a fantastic night!
 
MAY ASWELL KICK OFF THE REVIEWS:

i'll obviously just comment on what i saw:

started off with TV ROCK: they were fun and wat u'd expect to open a night...good tunes to get you in the mood.

Marcus Schulz: Was very impressed, i thought it would be a slower more progressive style but he put it out there and impressed me quite a bit. quality tracks, perfect to here him before armin.

Arm-Believable (Armin Van Buuren): i basically went to two tribes to see this guy and he delivered...exactly what i expected a nice 2 hour build up and then he let loose in the last 1.5 hours. Awsome DJ! he gets into the crowd, gets involved and that makes his performance twice as good, played a few of his big tracks which went off. 10/10 - he is genuinely a great trance DJ...didn't over work the songs but didn't give in to quickly!

Kai Tracid - only got to see his first few songs...so i really cant comment...HOW WAS HIS SET, DID IT GET A LOT HARDER OR DID HE PLAY A LOT MORE OF A COMMERCIAL STYLE SET LIKE THE ONE POSTED ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE???
