melb - REVIEWS *meet up* e55 - june 25th

I'm unsure as to whether I'll be able to make this one now.

A friends having a going away party this weekend, so it may or may not clash with this!

How much warning do you all need?! You have another offer for that same night - - - you politely tell them you can't make it. You can see them / do that thing another night most of the time.

*starfalls69* and everyone else involved has gone to some trouble setting the time and venue, and giving you all more than ample time to prepare other matters so they don't interfere.

Seriously, you're all a group of non-committal slackers, with little to no perogative to meet new people and have some fun without loud music and stinging lights. :|.

^^^ Thank you. The whole reason this event was posted ages ago was so people had ample time to not double book or whatever...

either way me and COTB will still have fun...with or without you!

and im pretty sure Butros still isnt comming ;)
 
^ I concur that it may be dissapointing when people can't attend as intially arranged, however you do need to be a tad understanding as to "why?". For example if people are unable to attend this event, it doesn't really effect the *plans* so to speak... Obviously if people get an invite to going away parties, 21st, housewarmings etc. they will be put first and foremost. This event was listed well in advance and as a result when people initially replied with "I'll be there", they were unaware of events that may arise of higher importance. That is not to say that this event isn't of importance at all... of course it would be rude to pike for reasons such as "going out for drinks with *other* mates". These things can be done any time... However I do believe that the people who have already piked will have legit reasons (hence why they can give plenty of notice).

The events where it will be really annoying when people pike are events that *rely* on certain numbers - such as paintball. Saying you will attend an event like that, then not doing so and spoiling things to some degree for the rest of the group is just plain inconsiderate.
