Melb - Pendulum - August 12 @ Revolver

Pendulum - ‘Hold Your Colour’ album tour
Australia 29th July – 13th August 2005

Ever since Pendulum’s formative track ‘Vault’ made it onto acetate in time for the 2003 Winter Music Conference, their music has been included in just about every A-List DJ’s set worldwide. ‘Vault’ was without a doubt the drum&bass tune of the year, every DJ played it, every DJ rewound it, every clubber danced to it, and judging by record sales it seems everyone bought it! Later in the year Pendulum went on to! scoop ‘Best Single’ and ‘Best Breakthrough Producers’ at the ! 2003 Kno wledge Magazine awards.

In 2004 they returned to the limelight with their debut 12” on label BreakBeat Kaos, titled 'Another Planet' – an anthem of such epic proportions, it rocketed to number one in the UK dance chart and also acheived a respectable mainstream chart position of 42, talk about taking the underground to the mainstream!

In 2005 Pendulum return to Australian for a national tour on the back of their up coming debut album 'Hold Your Colour' which is out on renouned uk label Breakbeat Kaos. Featuring 13 bold and diverse tracks, the album combines the trio's groundbreaking blend of heavy electronic funk, never-before-heard innovative sounds and 'real' musical elements to produce a monster of a long player, destined to break down genres and smash up charts worldwide.

'Hold Your Colour' is set ! to follow suit when it drops; straight from the huge cinematic introduction, the album takes you on a action packed ride from anthems to emotional journeys and everything in between. From furious dancefloors bombs 'Slam', 'Hold Your Colour' and the massive 'Tarantula' featuring the vocal talents of MC Spyda and Tenor Fly, to smooth soulful rollouts 'Plasticworld' and 'Streamline'. From breakbeat monsters 'Fasten Your Seatbelts' and 'Out Here', to the latin-rock electro fuelled funk of 'Girl In The Fire' -- this long player takes listeners on a trip through genre bending territory.

The Pendulum story thus far can only be described as one of much warranted overnight success... and their debut album holds all the promise of becoming a dance classic.

“One of the most ambitious drum'n'bass albums in history... it shows how far you can take drum'n'bass and makes the so! und accessible for a whole new section of music lovers. Pendul! um have created the drum'n'bass equivalent of stadium rock” (Mixmag magazine).

Pendulum are making the long trip across to Australia for a their ‘Hold Your Colour’ album launch tour happening July/August .

Considering I do enjoy drum n' bass (depite not being a 'fan'), I may pop down for this one.

Would also like to meet Sonic and it's always good to catch up with Moe :).

ah shit
The date in the topic is the 23rd, while the actual _date_ is the 12th
It's either this or Deetron, and the big sweaty guy wins out I think. Depending on what time Pendulum are on at, I may or may not show. :\

BASG

we pay fucking $49 in perth for pretty much the same thing but with more breaks artists ive never heard of SHJIT HOUSE

Pendulum
Concord Dawn
Shock 1
Bad Robot
Dylan Rhymes

We get NONE of the latter four.. I think $49 is fair. You could do with a better venue by the sound of the discussion in the Perth thread. Pendulum will be dope as fuck wherever they play though.
