I know mary poppins and shorza are comming but there should be a few others...

i was going to be incredibly jealous that melbourne and perth got snoop dogg and sydney didnt, but i cant go now anyway cos i'm moving house that day. cest la vie.

I'll be there.....GV is always a great day out, better than all the rest @ the bowl IMHO.....and snoop doggs surprise inclusion is like the sugar on the cake.

Yayy!!!! I so cannot wait especially now that Snoop will be there! He is the man!! =D

See you all there! (Great set times too, I was going to have a tantrum if anything conflicted with j5 or BB!)

ambiguous_logic said:
do you think it will be likely there will be sniffer dogs out in force?

logically i would say yes...why?

1: its an outdoor event in the city
2: its during the day where public are around
3: everyone knows what goes on at dance festivals...

1+2+3= i rekon there will be.

Has anyone caught the weather for saturday yet?

Damn the shitty weather forecast!

Ah well, not going to get in the way of me having a good time.

In short...a few down sides to the gig...

- people waiting more than an hour and half to get in and leaving them no result but to jump the fence just so they didnt lose more than half a day in the queue...

- the fact that there was no one picking up garbage during the day :X so by the time J5 were on everywhere you danced or stepped you trod on cans, glass or plastic bits and peices...

- watching the crowd surge as people tried to get into the front section of the main stage and security to busy dancing to stop them getting crushed...

- the laundry stage just wasnt up to the standard it should of been with some of the names playing on it...

Will write more once ive slept. Was sober the whole time and the events still going...but im home already...go figure :\

...*hums...snoop doggy, doooooog*...

oh and when did people get so fucking lazy that they dont or wont walk to ten or so metres to a rubbish bin??

Best day of my life, shame Kel you didnt feel the same !

And I get to do it all again next weekend minus Snoop.

Best day of my life. Im not kidding.

Now ive got time to sit down and put words to net...

Cut Copy and J5 were awesome =D Totally rocked :D Snoop Dogg was pretty good to. Ive not seen so many people 'light up' all at once before ;) I was quite impressed with him but i thought he could of been on stage for a bit longer. His performance seemed to go really quickly. Was good how he played his old school tracks and not many of his recent ones. Loved his Tupac tribute he did.

The general vibe of the day was good. Lots of people jumped the fences cause they were still in the queue at 2pm...

To many lil maria's dancing in circles with their mates that took up to much of the dance floor :X Needless to say i delighted in barging through their circles and dancing in the middle of them :p

The down fall was i guess i expected more from (Laundry Stage) Ivan Gough, Dirty South, Grant Smilie and John Course. Who all have great reputations for doing awesome sets. Their sets were very, very average. I could of just gone to Chaser's/Zos if I wanted to hear music like that. Nothing really different from what they would play if you were listening to a cd. I particularly thought Grant Smilie and John Course spent more time talking to each other than they did getting people into their music... :\ Those guys were ones i actually wanted to see. I was disappointed.

The rubbish factor was a mega issue. Everywhere i stepped i stood on rubbish. Where were the people who were suppose to collect it during the day?

In general i wouldnt of paid to go...glad i got a free ticket thanks to nova100. I had a good time with mates and heared a few good bands so all in all it was ok.

I thought it was absolutely brilliant - best idea ever was to not get there until late (5.30) caught rahzel, then straight to j5, snoop and beastie boys!

it was like a fucking trifecta of awesomeness!!!!! perfect!!!! so much fun, dancing and hot music!

loved it! :D
