Melb - Advent*jah Festival 2003 - Kryal Castle - November 22nd

^^^ that's the most difficult thing. last year was the same situation and i chose advent*jah (and i'm glad i did, project went *OFF*), but with the immensity of this year's earthcore (and the fact that the advent*jah line-up doesn't really do it for me...), i won't be at this :(
 
wt happend last yr at kryal with the cops. I heard that they had road blocks and search cars, but what I want to know is do they search you?? As me and all my mates have said we will just get a taxi there or a lift from someone else, but other concern is that even tho Im not going to be driving will I also be tested and search??

Did they hav pat downs last yr at aventjah??
 
last year i drove up early - about 3ish i think we got there and just chilled in the sun for the afternoon - not a cop in sight, no probs.
i heard there was a lot of searching afterwards though so my advice would be just to sacrifice your afternoon to avoid conflict and go up a little early. :)
 
THe police only searched cars with drivers who blew a Blood Alcohol reading. I think this is because by law, you need probable cause to search people/carts and which I guess blowing a Blood Alcohol limit lets police have probable cause to search a car.
 
This is a drill!

People - The police road block was this year in February - not at an Advent*jah Event.

Can't wait for this event - The line-up is strong I think ? I mean .. It is stronger than any other event around that date - A lot of talent to be seen my friends!

not tryin to pay out on u oracle but just cause it was a hardware event, dont mean they wont try this time, wheteher its hardware or advent*jah...

if they do do car searches.. would they search the drivers/passengers? and would they search people walkjin up and down the road?

but SOME SILLY POO HEAD decided to have her 21st on that same night.. so ill have to go back to my home town that weekend..

I think I'll have to be there for sure, last years Advent*jah was a wicked production, heaps of effort went in and tons of people looked like they were enjoying it.

Absolutely. Last year's A* was the (large) party of the year for my money. Scot Project as the sun rose, with that sprung floor on the main stage, was something I will never ever forget.

Who cares if it'll be as good better than that this year? Not me. I won't pin my hopes that high, and I'll still leave happy. Frankly it doesn't matter. It's Advent*Jah, it's at the Castle... it will be magnificent.

Even without Ratty Little Germans (who played quite well at Pharmacy, it must be said), it's still going to kick party season off with a bang and it'd be silly to miss it.

All you folks who are passing on Kryal because Earthcore is the week after... that's a shame. All you folks who aren't - I'll seeya at both.

[edit: Brisbane's Advent*jah is no relation, so don't hold your breath on Public Enemy rockin' the graveyard ;)]
 
I just cant wait to be able to stand out side of the castle before entering just to hav that awsome few second feeling of excitment and hope. I cant wait all my friends will be with me on this night. Cant wait to also see some of u guys too!!
 
does anyone know if thats the final lineup? or will there be any other announcements?
 
tickets hav gone up a shit load in the last week! Better get in there guys and purches if you havent already!

I'm really getting excited about this, and this time IM NOT bagging out at the last mintue... Hope to actually meet some BL'S with Buzzinallnightlong!! Yay!!

The main stage dancefloor from last year is back!

This is maybe the best bit of Advent*Jah news since Kryal was confirmed.
 
I know this maybe a lil off topic, but I rang up some caravan and cabin's for kryal sleep over, anyway nearly all the caravan and accomodations places in Ballarat are booked right out, or if you mention kryal they explain that us sorts of types aren't welcomed!! Like :(

Anyway last place I rang up, yay got a great deal and only a 5 min drive to the castle,( but yes I had to convince the lady to let us stay)
