What I was taught is that preloading for a few nights on very, very high doses of Melatonin can potentiate a phenethylamine psychedelic experience. I first learned about this last year from a 2CE user's post on a forum. He swore that his 2CE trips were stronger and had a longer duration if he preloaded on 12-24 mg of Melatonin each night starting at least a few nights in advance of his trip.
Then I found another reference to using Melatonin to potentiate psychedelics in an article describing various ways to potentiate Mescaline. This is an excerpt from the article-
"Melatonin - I have heard a report that Melatonin ( available in most Health food stores ) will potentiate the effects of ingesting mescaline. The preferred and most effective method is to take 10-15mg before bed, a week in succession before the trip. If this is not practical, 20-25mg may be taken at least 12 hours before the actual trip. The later method works but is not as efficient as the week long method. It is said that the "7 day boost" used in conjunction with beta-carbolines (below) results in an ultra-euphoric boost."
I was very skeptical of these claims that repeated nightly high doses of Melatonin could potentiate psychedelics until I tried for myself with 2CE. On a few occasions I tried taking 6-24 mg of Melatonin each night for as many nights in advance as I could and then the next day would eat or insufflate 2CE. My resulting trips seemed longer, more visual and euphoric. The first time I preloaded on Melatonin and snorted 2CE I assumed it was a coincidence that the trip seemed longer and more visual. However, after trying this combination over and over I concluded it did in fact seem to work.
I've subsequently tried preloading on Melatonin before blotter experiences and before HBW experiences. What I usually do is starting 4 or 5 nights (though sometimes up to a week in advance) before a trip I take like 6-9 mg of Melatonin. I slowly increase my dosage each night to where the night before my trip I usually am on 21-24 mg of Melatonin.
