Melatonin enhancing nod?

Im not sure If this is the correct place, and sorry if it's not, but I noticed that when I took melatonin (2-3mgs iirc) after I started coming down of codeine (180mgs) I began nodding out alot! I hadn't even nodded initially from the codeine but after the melatonin kicked in, i proceeded to nod for a good amount of time, several hours in fact. I was wondering If anyone else has experienced this?

Cant say i ever thought to take melatonin with anything. Im curious though i keep trying to find good ways to potentiate when i take opiods. never had codiene either. how's it compare to hydrocodone?

I highly reccomend trying it as it prolongs and intensifies the high to some extent, especially the nod. And codeine is very similar, just significantly shorter acting. Also, ive only used melatonin with opiates after I've started to cone down, so I'd be curious of what happens if you took both at once

Hmm, I have never noticed any additive/synergistic effects with opioids + melatonin myself, just felt the effects of the melatonin, but I do think I recall seeing another thread where someone said they found there to be a synergistic effect.

Yup, melatonin defiantly adds to the nod from personal experience, I've taken my fair share of opiates (stronger than codiene too) normally oxycodone and benzos and found myself sedated, but not to the point I wanted. Adding a time release 2mg melatonin to the mix made me much more sedated and the first few times I took it - put me to sleep. Be careful though, tolerance seems to build stupidly fast with melatonin. I really enjoy adding it, but it's somewhat ineffective now. The first time I took it together with the two I nodded like mad - was bizzare, but I loved it.

I've never tried it but it makes sense seeing as melatonin makes you sleepy and I personally always feel a nod more if I'm tired.
