Melancholic Music

80's trip time I guess... I've always been a fan of 80's pop. To me there's a distinct melancholy sound to a lot of it.

Not 'fucked-up' at all; it's a very beautiful, melodic tune but wrapped-up in some disconcerting visuals - and that's how we sort out the wheat from the chaff; vulnerability is always disguised as ugly - ugly is the best defence; because people who don't understand, don't know. ;)

There's that point where melancholy is less of a source of flagellation and evolves to acceptance (you can dip in and dip out but you can still rise above it); that's what it's all about; it serves as nature's natural, irritating, stimulant(disguised as a depressant) to help you evolve; otherwise it's just a treadmill of meaningless, boring, self-indulgence, eh?. <3
