[MEGA] Weed vs Hash

difference between weed and hash?

First time I got high was when a friend offered me hash, and I got to do it several times after that. Then a long break, moving to states and then seeing everybody smokes weed. So I acquired some and smoked it. I remember thinking it's nothing like hash. It didn't make me giggle as much and made me feel very tired. I am kind of burnt out from smoking weed. Thinking about hash these days. But I don't remember much from hash so here I ask:
Do they give you different kinda high?
 
Hash comes in many forms, including an oil, but the most common form it is in is resin extracted from the flower clusters and top leaves of the marijuana plant which is then compacted into a brick like form. Some lower quality hash will actually include parts of the plant material in this brick.

High quality hash tends to have a higher THC percentage than regular marijuanna, and this can lead to the expierience of a different high. Also, hash tends to be higher in delta-9-THC, which tends to account for the more cerebral, clear high; while every day pot tends to have a higher concentration of cannabinoids which account for the stoney, tired feeling which can develop.

Just to add to the above

Hash is the trichomes, or crystals on your buds. You shake the crystals off the bud with a fine seive, and then press it together.

Hash Oil isnt really hash and is made by soaking pot in a solvent, strainging off the solids and then letting the solvent evaporate

Hash is harder to find in america unfortunately, though you can make your own easily with a 'Polm Maker' (check google) ask your dealer if s/he has any shake they can sell you for cheap and then make hash from it. if you actually get a polm maker pm me for my recommendations for getting the best yeild

frizzantic, having read your post, it makes more sense as to why I don't remember being tired and confused after smoking hash. I remember my fascination in doing everyday stuff like watching tv, seing and hearing things I haven't payed attention before. I remember watching a plain old carpet commercial and seing the designs on the carpet shift and look alive but that kinda stuff seems to lack with pot. Stuff just looks more attractive not very different.

I don't think I will be making my own hash since I don't like to spend so much time chasing a high. I wanna know mostly out of curiosity and in case I come accross somewhere.
 
that clear type high feeling is what i get from smoking sativa weed and its what i love. i don't know where to get hash though.

hash definitely seems to offer a more energetic, uppy happy high. When smoking the plant matter you are smoking a lot of other stuff besides the good stuff, while the trichomes are only the essential oils of the plant

you might look for better weed hookups if you're getting burnt our a lot. especially if you're getting seedy brown shwag or even 'beasters'.. get some good green bud and see how your feel (or perhaps you are.. in that case make hash :) )
 
The grass is always greener on the other side (no pun intended).

Hash is much more common in Sweden and we pay extra for weed. I would much rather smoke weed.
 
Yeah, smoking hash and the different high can be compared to the difference between a beer drunk and a liquor drunk.

Some of the hash that show up here is claimed to have 80-90% THC. I'll certainly believe that some times; it's so goey!!

Has anyone ever heard of isolator hash???? I hear its really good, but, is it worth double regular hash??? i hear it costs 50 dollars a gram in amsterdam which i find realy hard to believe but if anyoen knows please tell me...thx
 
are you talking about ice water hash?? If so it is the best, blows any other hash out of the water. not sure about that price though.
 
no he actually means isolater hash, it does exist. but no, it does not cost 50 dollars a gram in amsterdam. first, we have euro's overhere, second it's more like 15 euro's a gram. it is very good, better than all the other hash around with ofcourse some exceptions. i have smoked it only a couple of times though, think it's not worth spending you're money on 2 joints if you can have 8 for the same price...
 
thanks, mr monkey, yeah someone told me it was 50 a gram in amsterdam which made me say damn..i had to find out..i guess the dude was full of sheet...but yeah i hear isolater hash is intense..... not as good as nitro though(super keif hash)...thanks again and pce
 
Newbie needs help - Hash vs weed, whats the best way to get high without the smell?

I'm kind of new to the world of weed, in fact I've really only tried to get high on about 4 or 5 occasions. Unfortunately I think I may have a very high tolerance to weed (at least your typical cheap brick weed). Out of 5 different times of trying to smoke it I've only gotten a very mild high on one occasion.

My latest attempt was tonight, I made a vaporizer out of a light bulb and I roasted the weed just enought to get a vapor going. Several inhales later I still feel nothing and to make it worse the house smells like weed. (I have about an hour to get rid of the smell before all hell breaks loose. Stupid me forgot to close the door before I started smoking.


Anyway getting back to the topic of this post. I need a way to get high without any of the smell or other noticable signs. I think the best way to go for me is probably to try and cook it. But I don't even know if its possible to cook weed without a strong odor. So that made me think maybe hash might be the best way to go. It will cost more I'm sure but at least I'll more than likely be able to get high from it and if I consume it the right away I won't leave any noticable traces. Of course all this is assumption.

How much stronger is hash than weed?
Whats the best way to get high from hash without leaving a smell?
Can I cook hash without it leaving an odor?

Hash isn't always going to be stronger than weed, depends on the hash.
 
you dont get high because you dont hit it hard enough. thats the whole mystery behind "you dont get high the first time". in an hour, your house should clear up. the smell may be in your nose for a while, but the house will air out.

hash should be better than weed. hash is made by breaking the crystals from the bud. the hash is the crystals. its like taking an E pill and taking the mdma out (i know its not possible, but for the comparison we pretend it is). the resulting mdma should be stronger than the original pill.

heres the thing. you shouldnt smoke when theres a good chance youll need to hide the smell. youd be better off playing it safe then getting caught.

cooking or burning cannabis leaves an odor. just do it when you wont get caught and you shouldnt have anything to worry about
 
^ think much? the pill that contains X amount of mdma will be just as stong as X amount of mdma by itself... it is only less potent by weight... The quality of the hash you make/get is directly proportional to the quality of the weed it was made from. The hash will be more potent by weight, but will overall contain slightly less THC than the weed you made it with... not all of the THC in the weed will transfer to the alcohol solution.
