Opioids Mega Merged: Ultimate poppy pod/seed tea thread - Part II

the second time i did pods with no tolerance i got sick. TERRIBLE migraine like headache, puking, fealt nauseous all night. i didn't puke till i finally got up to go to bed at 3 am and once i walked around that was it.

this was also one of the best experiences with pods i've had!! i felt fuckin amazing for hours. was not expecting it at all and i've been a heavy opiate and heroin user who was forced to clean up basically. once i found this and found how strong it was it was a godsend ( and a curse)

im trying out mixing tea and powder today. i just spoonfed powder onto my tongue and washed it down with grapefruit juice. no bad taste, the texture isn't bad, and its over with. i decided to do this when i realized the tea i made wasn't strong so i just decided to give it a go.

quasi...it sounds like you got a migraine from too much opiates in your body. this happens to me on high doses of methadone and on tea occasionally. i've never had it happen where it started at night and was still there in the morning though. I found that taking some IBprofun helps with tea. methadone though....your fucked.

Could have been mold, but i've used some that were moldy before and haven't had it happen. not that that means it cant happen though.

Quasi- Never actually threw up from pods, but a couple times when I drank powder on an empty stomach, and pods were somewhat dark (not moldy) and tasted REALLY strong I felt very nauseous. It passed quick though. But I did wind up with nasty diarrhea and a headache for a day. Maybe more than you want to know!! I believe our bodies can and will react differently at times, physically and mentally, to the same source, depending on the state it is in.
Anyone care to share their preference in pods? Which ones have more effect than others?
Sometimes sources don't even list the type of pod, have to go by looks. Would like to find the Ultimate Pod and stick with it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

There has been a small amount of information on the internet regarding making a tincture of dried poppy pods. I have a few questions about this, in case there is anyone out there who has the answer.

First off, this is my goal: I want to make a potent poppy pod tincture that can be dosed under the tongue sublingually. From what I've read, morphine isn't very sublingually bioavailable, however, when in an alcohol solution, it becomes sublingually bioavailable.

I've noticed some people have said that poppy pod tinctures made by an alcohol extraction have different effects than a water extraction (tea). Some say that they don't like these other effects, they are more stimulating in a nervous way.. so the forums say at least. So what I'm thinking is to take a quantity of ground poppy material and steep it in simmering water (Morphine's boiling point is much higher than 212 F, so a rolling boil should not theoretically be a problem, but I'd use a soft simmer just to be safe). Use enough water so that the water doesn't become saturated. Then filter the tea to get all of the spent grounds out. Then put the filtered tea back on the burner and simmer it down to a small amount. Then you'd have a concentrated pod tea solution containing the alkaloid profile produced by a water extraction, which most people find more pleasant it seems.

Then you could at some alcohol to it to preserve it. Also, you could repeat the brew prossess to get every last bit out, but then you'd have a considerably higher amount of water to reduce.

One more thing. It may be worth trying to do an extract in which you first extract in water, and then extract the same pod grounds in alcohol, to have a more complete representation of all of the poppy alkaloids. Perhaps the alcohol extracted alkaloids would be pleasent when they are present with a high amount of water extracted alkaloids. Any ideas?

it seems the general consensus around here is that pod tea is long lasting ( this is how it is suppossed to be according to other sources aswell)
i have made pod tea three times (i know, not alot) and for some reason it seems that for me i start to feel the morphine at about t+60mins and it seems to peak at about t+120mins but everytime after i fealt some decent/significant morphine feeling it obviously gradually fades but for me i seem to be completely done with the tea after about 3 hours and after that point i no longer feel opiated and just kinda feel basically back at baseline
Is it shitty pods or too low a dose?(although when it peaks it has been intense 2 out of 3 times) Is it maybe me? Any body have similar experiences?

i guess it might be worthy to note that all three of these experiences occured during a 10-12 day oxy binge so a decent amount of opiates in my system might be a factor?

For me the effects last around 5-6 hours depending on the size of the dose. I have had it last 8+ hours before...

That's wierd HighOnLife, I'm addicted to pods and it takes me around 18 - 24 hours to start to feel withdrawals from them. You should feel high for longer than 3 hours...

Same here. I dose once per day in the a.m.. Have been for about six months. Damn, six months already......I need to stop. Anyway, by morning time, I'm getting WD's and need to dose again.

I remember looking back after my own personal 6 months of use and thinking to myself: holy shit, 6 months, I really should get off this shit, it's not too late etc. etc. Here it is 6 months later and now those thoughts of "I really should quit" have disappeared and now all I do is justify my use.

i didnt wanna say ne thing cuz i was wondering if ne one had ne other ideas about the problem besides my shitty pods but i grew them myself w/ seeds from an internet retailer so obvouisly i have some work to do.
the wierd thing is though is that there is a definate opiate buzz it is just short lived.

Do you drink the straw also, or just the filtered liquid? I'm asking because it seems when I grind poppy pods into powder, add to liquid and drink the whole thing my high lasts longer.... 6-8 hours. It my seem like a lot to get down, but grind pods in a coffee grinder, it turns straw to powder. I mix mine with juice (grape or cherry) and also add a crushed Vit B complex . I researced and found out that Vit B, which includes niacin, intensifies the high and makes it last longer.
Also - drink grapefruit juice (100%) 1/2 to 1 hour beforehand. I can really notice a difference with this. (Do a search on grapefruit juice, you'll find more info).

Ok, what is the difference in dosing with drinking vs plugging. Normally I use 3/4 a cup of plant and seed matter and drink it. Today I'm plugging it. Actually not taking to bad. I haven't done all of it because I'm concerned about an OD...
Plus if I don't take it all today, is it a waste or will it last a day or two without being refrigerated?

i left a glass of pod tea in a cup on my desk for 3-4 days and went to add some ice and drink it and had 5-7 different little fungus/mold balls on the side and even a few that were just suspended in the middle of the liquid. (by middle of liquid i mean not along the side of the cup instead of actually floating beneath the surface and above the bottom) never seen anything like this happen to liquid for that short a time. so my advice would be to say that pod tea doesnt last long/well, at least not at room temp without a lid maybe if you put a lid on that shit and put it in the fridge you might be kool with storin it for awhile

It will start tasting slightly fermented If you leave it at room temp in only about 10 hours or so. There's so much plant sugars in it. Also, some of the yeast or mold naturally occurring on some pods in very small quantities are not harmful per se, but they might start to grow very fast in the solution when fermenting. That might make it pretty bad for you. Probably gives some stomach aches or intestinal problems for a day, if nothing else. Most of the time it won't be any worse than badly made unfinished home made wine though. That yeast just looks pretty disgusting and I wouldn't drink it, just to be safe.

Update on ?- I just ended up finishing it. I was worried about OD, but hell there was no reason to be. Fucking stems and crowns don't do much of anything at all.

Correct Type of Poppy Seed

I know the McCormick brand at the store is the wrong kind of poppy seed to buy, but which is the right kind you can plant?

Note: I am not breaking the rule by asking WHERE I can get this.. I just want to know the correct kind.

Some seeds can be quite cheap and effective. The problem is finding the good ones. Only small percentage of them have significant amount of alkaloids coating them. Trial and error is pretty much the only way of finding out, though there's some telltale signs to look out for. Dirtier looking, darker seeds that clump together a bit and smell earthy are often at least decent. Shiny and clean ones with only mild smell are usually not effective at all and better to skip completely.

I prefer pods too, but I know a good bulk source for very good seeds in my home town. Half a kilogram is good enough for solid high and I have tolerance. That doesn't cost much either.
