[MEGA]Idiosyncratic/Unusual Responses to Cannabis

So when I smoke I usually use my pipe, but a few days ago I went out with my friend and smoked a joint. I only had like 2-3 puffs and I was a mess. But when I looked in the mirror, it looked as if my eyes were on fire. They were so red. But when I smoke with my pipe, I never get red eyes. I smoked like 10 minutes ago with my pipe and my eyes aren't red at all.

Not a big deal, but I was just curious as to why?

maybe you got more of a certain chemical when u smoked the joint, so it got you higher??
 
Joints produce way more smoke, and when smoking out of papers/blunts you seem to get more smoke in your eyes. Don't know why.
 
more than likely its the smoke from the joint getting in your eyes. i know every time i take a puff of a j it lets off a nice cloud of smoke right in my face. my cuz told me he has a friend who always turns his hat backwards every time they blaze for this exact reason. as far as being more baked.. probably has to do with the amount and quality that you smoked. whether you roll it in paper or pack it in glass its not going to change the potency
 
Can't have conversations when stoned.

I can't talk when I'm stoned anymore. I just lose all my energy for social interaction, and become a robot.

Even with my girlfriend, who I can pretty much be around in any state (except stoned).
I lose all tone of voice, and have generic answers to everything.

If the phone rings I won't answer it.

I still enjoy being stoned, but pretty much only by myself when I have nothing to do at all.

Anyone relate ?
 
you pretty much described me exactly. I can totally relate, I get super anti social when i'm high. If i smoke a j or something I dont really get high, just a little buzz and happiness and i can interact with others fine. But when I smoke bong (which is what I do all day every day) I get too high to talk to people. I usually just close my door and be high by myself and I hate it when people come into my room and try to start conversations.

If i'm with other people that are just as high as I am I usually become a bit more social but only for about 20 minutes and then I lose interest and just want to be alone.
 
Sounds like maybe you have a hidden social phobia? I can take bong rips, drop some rohtos, and go out in a crowd and talk my ass off. To me it feels like weed calms my anxiety when speaking to strangers OR friends, making the whole experience better. I do have friends who become "shut ins" and dont enjoy social situations while stoned.
 
i also get the same thing as the op described. it makes me socially lazy yet my mind is always thinking up wild random shit. i think it boils down to if your an introvert or an extrovert. naturally im introverted, cannabis amplifies it so i end up quite unsociable
 
WHat!??! Can't have conversations when your stoned?! friends and I usually talk even more while smoking together.... Your tolerance may still be low if you just started smoking and if your smoking too much it can be overwhelming for some people.. Also marijuana effects everyone differently on a certain degree.. I have a friend that when he would get high he would just sit there and not say anything (basically stoned outta his mind). But once he started smoking more and got used to it (built a tolerance) he started being able to act 'normal' while stoned and able to talk and hold conversations like any other person that handles the effects of ganja well.

i know plenty of people who dont say much when stoned. they've been smoking for years. its normal as far as i know.
 
I Disagree. ^, most people act quite normal while "stoned" in public, at home or wherever. At least those people that use it right and/or on daily basis. (At least the people I know, they don't act all "stereotypical" as seen in TV stoned.) thats all im saying.. by god! lol :)
 
it maybe how high your getting. i have a few friends that no matter how high they get they just stop talking or barely talk. then some (like me) get a little high talk quite a bit but if i get reaaaally high i lose that 'energy' to talk or if i do say something its stupid haha
 
I can completely relate. I think thanks to JWH, pot lost its magic for me. When I first started smoking (before I found JWH) it made me very euphoric and very talkative. My friend and I would tell jokes and laugh at just about anything that popped into our heads. Now I just want to be alone. I don't want to communicate with people, and sometimes I think pot actually makes me angry/depressed. Note: after a 4-5 month cannabinoid tolerance break this is still an issue after the first couple times smoking.
