[Mega] Harm protection supplements

"Days after MDMA usage, elevated levels of MAO activity in the brain are present".

Do you have a source for that advanced?

^ yeah, I'm curious about the research behind a lot of the info here. Links to all the studies would be a great way to help with harm reduction and education.

"DEPRESSION
The remedy: Fish oil
Why it works: The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are made up of two main components -- eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Both assist your brain in regulating emotions, which makes fish oil an ideal depression fighter. Your body uses DHA to form protective membranes that help brain cells communicate better; EPA increases the brain's sensitivity to serotonin, a hormone that produces feelings of happiness. A British study revealed that when 70 depressed people consumed 1 g fish oil every day for 12 weeks, 69 percent of them experienced a 50 percent improvement in their symptoms."

Would this statement mean that tolerance to MDMA may drop as the brain is more sensitive to serotonin?

i got a few question:

1) is green tea (de-caffeinated ) good for drinking before/during/after rolling?
2) is ginger tea good for digestion of mdma?
3) is tums (500mg calcium) good for preloading OR postloading to ease stomach ache from ingesting gel caps?

i'm looking for solution to excessive burping/stomach ache problem while rolling

What about prozac/other ssri after your roll? how much is recommended? (or is it even recommended at all... there seems to be studies that say it completely saves the brain from neurotoxicity..)

Also will taking one dose after you roll make it harder to roll the next time you drop? how long might it last?

I think that's a great question; I wonder if an snri would do the same. maybe you should start a thread asking this, so it will get more views...

Wait a second, so I have to take every supplement on that list?
I would feel sorry for my kidneys :(

i noticed that in Advanc3d regimen for rolling he doesnt take alcar after. is there any reason not to take it? i only ask because i was considering buying alcar/ala together and was curious if it would not be good to have alcar for some risk of increased neurotoxicity? or if it just has no real reason to take after?

ALCAR causes oxidation in your cells, so it's probably best to go without it right after ecstasy use. ALCAR is taken with ALA because the ALA is a strong antioxidant that helps take care of the free radicals ALCAR creates. So I would think that ALCAR + MDMA would definitely be a bad mix for your brain.

I have been taking ALCAR+ALA for a couple of weeks now, and it's got some noticable effects. It's good stuff...if you're thinking of buying some, take them together, but on the day of and the day after rolling, just take the ALA.

Piracetam update

Disclaimer: have NOT combined with MDMA yet

I've been taking piracetam for 4 days now, and had a small cup of coffee that feels like I'm on time released cocaine (lol) and to give you an idea, caffeine hadn't "wired" me in about 10 years...I've abuse it for years.

The only factor is the piracetam, I have nothing else new in my system. I could see how some people experience a "virgin" roll again, but that's merely a hypothesis based on how it's returned my caffeine response to virginesque territory...I also acknowledge many people aren't impressed with piracetam, and everyones response is unique.

I've heard more reports of people swearing by it than it not working. When you consider that humans prefer to complain than give praise (this is an evolutionary trait and completely normal), it means that piracetam probably works more often than not.

Either way, I'm going to do a study on it, I think. I'll have a bunch of piracetam. I'm sure I could talk some of my jaded friends into trying it for me in a small scale test.
