Oh boy... where do I begin!
I guess I'll call this "Part 1 of Ultrapsyber's fave rolling tracks"
I'll think of more some other time I'm sure...
One that always sticks in my mind is: Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun... either the Gabriel & Dresden or Tiesto remix... My friend tells me my pupils look huge even when I listen to it straight... hehe... Must be because it was one of the first tracks playing the very first time I dropped... :D
Otherwise, I'm not really a fan of Oakie's stuff, he's not really my style, but play Southern Sun to me anytime and I'm a happy gal
I'm a fan of many styles of dance music... techno, psy, drum n bass, breaks, progressive, uplifting trance, and hard house/freeform... I've tried playing non-dance styles of music when I'm rolling but I wind up feeling bored... Although one morning, when we left a rave, we were still goin strong, so I went for a drive with some friends and she put a Metallica tape on and whilst I would NEVER EVER listen to metal, I actually enjoyed it! 8)
Airwave vs Rising Star - Sunspot (DCML remix) - beautiful uplifting trance
Tomaz & Filterheadz - Sunshine... SUCH a feel-good party track... real good driving, tribal techno beats and an almost trance-like breakdown midway through the track!
Tony De Vit - The Dawn... This track is so haunting! It's such a classic... sends goosebumps over my entire body...
Talamasca - The Fifth Revelation... My fave psy track of all
And live sets/albums such as:
Ben Sims - Escapism
Mixmag - Trance N Bass (undoubtably the BEST Mixmag CD ever released)
Transmission Anthem Evolution (volume1)
Carl Cox live @ the Crobar (and Area2 Detroit)
Oh there's so much more I could list but I can't think of them all... I really enjoy listening to everything and anything (apart from commercial clubby top 40 style dance/speed garagey stuff)
I mainly am drawn to dance music without vocals... and whilst I really love a more relaxed, mellowed out session of deep, sexy progressive or breaks... I think I prefer stuff like hard, tribal techno... Stomping psytrance, and fast bouncy hard house
About the only thing (besides cheese) I don't like much is gabber, or that REAL REAL hard NRG (that sounds like pissed-off, angry hardcore LOL)
And yes I admit, occasionally I'll get into some girly trance... I am a girl afterall hehe
