[MEGA] Edibles/Oral Cannabis

When I'm sick or need a break from smoking ill take some dry seive hash that hasnt been pressed and put it in like s dip/chew. Its kinda wasteful but the high is noticeable at least and its not like eating a cookie where your couch locked for the day. Any one else ever try this?

Im sure my question has been answered plenty of times, but Im going off to bed and can't really look around right now. In the morning (about 10 hrs) from now I am planning on cooking some bud. I have a couple grams of leftover shake, bottom of the bag crap and wanted to cook it and see what I can get out of it.

I was planning on taking some crackers, spreading peanut butter all over them and putting the flakes on and cooking them in an over at about 350 degree F for 20 minutes. Are they then good to eat then? Can the crackers/peanut butter be stored and then later can you eat them and still get high?

I know the THC needs to be heated in a fatty substance to be the most edible, is my plan most efficient? Im looking to do this quickly and cant really make browies... and really dont want to bake it in any type of oil.. thanks. Please dont close this till atleast I can see some replies. Thx.
 
I consumed budder a couple days ago that was around 6 months old. I noticed no decrease in potency. Me and 2 friends got high from the same amount we used the previous time. Your plan sounds good, as long as the oven doesn't get so hot that the THC is destroyed.
 
I was wondering, do you get subjectively higher off of just smoking bud, or mixing the two?

I've done both hundreds of times (dank and hash oil chocolate bars). 1/3-1/2 of a bar gets me nice for a good 6 hours, but I usually never mix both?

I ask subjectively, since to me, getting "high" is usually most noticeable when I go from sober to baked.
 
I have only ever used shake for this purpose, as I have a hard time using bud... I have probably transformed over 20 pounds of shake into edible marijuana, I love this route of ingestion, much more than smoking it. But I find I sleep for like 14 hours when I eventually burn out, like some kind of super sleeping pill. I have made Brownies, oatmeal cookies that taste like cinnamon toast crunch, ice cream sandwiches, and pretty much anything I feel I can put cannabutter into.

I usually end up using about 2 ounces of shake per pound of butter, and that gets even the most chronic weed smokers I know, high off one cookie. Which usually contains about 10mls of butter.
 
i just had some edibles had some cookies and loli pops and thought the pops was way better got me lifted mora then the cookies idk why but oh well

But seriously, i've done plenty of baking when it comes to pot. Every time I have done it though, i've always gone for an ounce of bud with 250g of butter. This time 'round i've got an undisclosed amount of leaves.

My idea for this is to use 500g of butter, and put in a crapload of very finely ground leaves until it looks like there is no more liquid for saturation. Kind of like a really thick soup I guess. Boil it for a couple of hours, then strain it. THEN put all the squeezed liquids back on the stove, and looping the process again probably four or five times or until the butter is the colour of the darkest of dark stools.

This was my idea of making the most out of the leaves in the smallest amount of butter. My main question is, would this be the best way to do it? Or should I just toss the whole lot in and wait for my billy to boil?

Also, anyone with likewise experiences and results, it is demanded you reveal your secrets :)

Advice for mixing with firecracker (edible) - Yerba Mate or Piracetam or Both

As the title suggests, im about to consume a fireccracker...should I brew some yerba mate up or have some piracetam to enhance the experience? If so when should I take said substances!

Not completely sure about whether piracetam or yerba mate have any affect on how edibles will work but I suggest using either of the substances about 30-45 minutes after consuming the edibles. You'll feel both the affects of the edibles and caffeine around an hour and a half.
 
So has anyone just taken to eating their butter instead of baking with it? I imagine just swallowing cubes of butter is kind of like a jello shot in that you don't taste anything. What amount would you recommend if you're just gonna swallow a cube down your gullet?

Also, what is the expected absorption rate of most psychoactive chemicals using butter vs. alcohol, smoking etc? i.e. how cost effective or ineffective is butter?

All My Firecrackers are Duds =(

Has anyone had the hard time that i've had trying to make a firecracker? My 3rd or 4th try is in the oven right now.

The most common recipe i found online is:

Grind up a .3 or what you want to use really fine, slather a cracker in PB, put the weed on there and nuke it for 15 seconds in the microwave. Put PB on the 2nd cracker and put it on top of the first one, wrap it tightly in foil and put it in the oven at 320 degrees for 22 minutes. Take out of the oven and nuke for a final 15 seconds in the microwave.

The first time i tried this i followed the instructions fairly well but i think i forgot to put a 2nd cracker on top, and i skipped the 2nd microwaving becuase it seems odd that it sat in the oven for 22 minutes activating the THC then it 'needs' 15 seconds in the microwave. I ground up the bud using a regular weed grinder. Used Jif PB - No effect.

2nd time i thought the weed may have not been fine enough so i used a coffee grinder and got it to cig tobacco sized chunks. I remembered the 2nd cracker, nuked 15 secs, put in the oven for 22 minutes, pulled it out and immediately nuked for another 15 secs. Used only Nutella spread. No effect.

3rd time (in oven right now) I used a .3 and ground the weed up to a near powder. I made it a point to smush the weed into the first PB cracker so that if it decides to release its weedy jism it all goes into the PB fat. I nuked for 15 seconds and licked some PB off my thumb and it had that nice cooked weedy taste. It didn't burn at all. NOW i'm putting it in the oven for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. This temp is supposedly enough to extract the THC and you're a little farther below the threshold of accidentally vaping the weed. My oven is old so i was afraid it that the knob saying "325" may translate into a higher temp. Wish i had an oven thermometer.

I plan to pull it out of the oven and let it sit for an hour or more because i read somewhere else that it continues to work its magic once it's out of the oven. People were posting to leave it "for 3-5 days" on another forum, though i don't see that as making sense. Some of the info in the most common walkthroughs is just wrong "you HAVE to use organic, Jif type PB is all fake and doesn't have the fat content" All the organic stuff i found has like 11g fat/2Tbsp. while Jif has 17g fat/2Tbsp. Same for Nutella, less fat than Jif. Just to be safe i'm using Nutella AND Jif on this cracker in case Nutella does actually work better but for some reason other than the fat content.

Anyway - has anyone had a hard time getting these things to work? Do you have your own recipe, or did you find that you needed to tweak the existing recipe in order to get it to work? I could use some pointers.

If this fails, my next step is to look into the wattage of my microwave and try to adjust (it's a smaller one so i might need more than 15 seconds, but i'm afraid of just NUKING the weed out of the gate. From there i should probably get an oven thermometer to see if setting it at 300 actually gets me that temperature inside the oven.

Any pointers would be appreciated, especially if you have a tried and true method that always works for you that uses a different method than what i've been trying. I see posts of people following the most common method to a T and getting results but i get nada =(

Ive never failed in my attemps so ill let you know what ive done. two large vitawheat crackers+ foil + nutella + olive oil + 0.20g of weed (depends on tolerance - mine is low).

Mix it all up and sandwich it between the crackers, have oven preheated to 320F (10F either way doesnt really matter IME) for 22minutes.

I have also done it with peanut butter and it worked for me. I didnt use organic, but i did use just straight up natural peanut butter...i.e. from the health store. I assisted a friend in making these one day and we used peanut butter out of a jar and it didnt work...so I guess there is truth to the statement that you must choose organic/natural PB.

I have found if using PB instead of nutella that u need to bake for 25 mins (3 mins longer)...I do this as the first time i felt like the cracker took a very long time to hit me (over 2 hrs) which I put down to it being not cooked enough (it was still kinda sticky)...

So IMHE nutella is best, but PB can work just as good...

So have a mull (pun intended) over these points and let me know how you go!
 
Anyone had experience in making their crackers a little more interesting/healthy? I like to smother mine in honey after they come out, makes them delicious! I am making some today and am considering chucking in some hemp protein for an additional marijuanna boost! haha

Thanks for the response, so are you saying that you skip the pre/post microwaving altogether? If that's the case, perhaps i'm roasting all of my THC in the microwave before it ever hits the oven. So you just make up the cracker and stick it in the oven for 22-25 mins and voila? If that's not what you're saying i guess i need to get an oven thermometer, it's possible my oven is totally out of whack =( I'm ready to give it one more try with some of these variables adjusted for, but man i feel like all my culinary cannabis efforts are in vain.

*Does everyone pretty much agree that this is the easiest way to cook cannabis, or is there an even easier way?
