[MEGA] Cooking with Cannabis

just order a pizza?....got bud?

.....for all you weedeaters .....alright ...order a pizza .....get sum garlic sauce.....put the sauce in a pot or metal cup of sum sort and put it on the stove then add a blunt of weed.....bring to a boil for 6 minutes and then pour in a container and dip your pizza on every bite........it got me stoned.....im even eating it now....anyone ever do this?
 
i think ingesting weed just usually makes me tired and 'out of it' i think bong rips/blunts r the only way to smoke..and vaporizers..weed is sort of a weak drug i like to feel an instant head buzz.
 
is oral cannabis generally more anxious or less anxious if you take a low dose of it?
 
As long as you don't dose too high, it doesn't cause any more paranoia than smoking. Definitely provides a different experience though.....The main problem with cooking is measuring an accurate dose. You most certainly can take too much, which can be very uncomfortable and cause extreme paranoia.

I have made Leary Bicuits or firecrackers(hadn't ever heard that one before!), many a time, and the biggest thing I have noticed is how variable it is. Sometimes it works, sometimes is doesn't at all. I have found cannabutter to be much more effective, kick in faster, and it is much easier to gauge dose. Some of my favorites are Kraft Macoroni & Cheese with cannabutter, goo-balls, and cheesecake. YMMV
 
smell?

When making those cannabis peanut butter crackers, is there any smell when cooking them?
 
im just in the process of trying the crackers method... trying for first time so im prob only gona have 2 bikkie and my mate will have to + were smoking :D ... hopefully works out good. Quick question, can you do anything with the left over stem that you get out of the bag? one of my mates apprantly uses metholated spirits to make these little "black balls" and smokes them with his cones...thanks
 
Well..... i give it 2 thumbs up :D i had three and was smoking a few cones and boy was i gone :P lol... took about 2 hours to kick in, nice taste and very very easy to make. Was weird though, when we first ate it, it was like we got a quick 10 minute very giggly stoneness.... i recomend it :D
 
Ok i understand that THC is readily soluble in fats, but what i dont understand is this whole business of simmering (such as for the cannabutter recipe) and heating...... Couldnt u just mix some finely ground weed up in some melted butter and then put it straight into ur recipe?
I would appreciate an explanation, does the THC have to be heated first to be orally active or something?
 
Or butter. I usually take some butter, an a broken up nug and toss it in a frying pan on low-med_low till I get that nice ganja smell, put it on some bread, put cheese on top, then sandwich the cheese and ganja butter with another piece of bread and fry up a grilled cheese sammich. Probably wasting some of the THC, but not that much AFAIK.

The high like this should be comparable to the regular high when you eat herb. Slower onset, mellower (until you get into higher doses) and somewhat longer duration. I like it, but its markedly different than smoking it.
 
Just add butter(or milk/oil/fatcontaining substance)(you don't need much, just make sure all the weed/hash is covered) and then heat for a while. I don't think you need to heat it long, as I've eaten hash which I dissolved in a teaspoon of oil and heated for 2-3 minutes. It worked like it should've. I read recipes where they put it on a low heat for hours and hours, but I don't see any point in that. Besides wasting precious natural resources %)

Creamy Herb Cheese

Here's a recipe for some delicious 'green' cheese. High quality cannabis was used, adjust according to potency.

- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 8 ounce package shredded Cheddar cheese
- 8 ounce package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 8 ounce package softened cream cheese
- 5 grams finely powdered cannabis, or to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup frozen, thawed, and drained spinach
- 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix together milk, white wine, Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, and cannabis. Cook, stirring frequently, until melted, about 10 minutes.
Stir in green onions, spinach, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and black pepper. Continue cooking until all ingredients ae well blended, about 10 minutes.
Transfer to a double boiler and heat for one hour.

This can be used as a sauce or cooled and hardened into a Velveeta-like cheese block. Should be enough to feed 16 people.
 
Mongo, the reason you don't just toss weed in is mainly for two reasons.

One, being the fact that tossing it in, you're more likely to burn it. When you simmer it, the oil absorbs the THC completely, which is why consuming cannabis is a much longer lasting and more powerful experience. When you smoke you don't get all the THC, most of it gets burnt, some of the smoke doesn't get into your lungs (i.e. when a bowl is cherried after you finsh smoking), and unless you hold in the smoke for the entire 10-15 seconds, deep in your lungs, you're not gonna get all the THC. Just dumping the weed into the brownie mix is inefficient.

Two, who wants to chew burnt chucks of leaves and weed in your delicious chocolate brownies.

I've made the famous applesoft recipe many times, and every time it has knocked me off my socks. Off the ground. Off this earth. I don't know if it's been posted yet but just check out http://applesoft.com/brownies/

It's not always up (the website) but you can easily just use Google cache. I added a bit of flair to it though:

Space Cake... MMM!!

Basically... pot brownies, or whatever sweet edible cannabis product you may want to use. Cake, brownies, cupcakes, that kinda stuff. And then take about 1/4 of shrooms or more, grind em up into almost a powder, take some frosting, or Nutella in my case, put the frosting (ONLY the frosting) in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to make a bit easier to... MIX the shroom powder in. Mix it good, make sure to get every single grain of shroom into it, mix and mix and mix, so everyone gets a good even ammount. Spread it onto the brownies, cake, cupcakes, what-have-you.

Then consume.

Take a trip.

Enjoy.
 
IMO, still the best/most effective method of cooking small amounts of herb: http://crackers.kisps.net , my step by step guide to preparing cannacrackers. Read my steps very carefully and be rewarded with delicious cannacrackers. If you fuck up, before flooding this thread with questions, take a look at that guide again, it has pictures that demonstrate the process. This method has been used countless times with documented success from many members from this board. If your end result doesn't get you high, you either had doubts about them getting you high when you first started, you fucked up and/or impatiently overlooked one of the steps, or you're just a bitter person who resents something about themselves and decides to let your frustrations out by posting questions/replies about how pissed you are that it didn't work for you. Most common mistakes people make is not grinding their herb up enough, using the wrong peanut butter, and fucking up the oven temp.

Finely ground cannabis=can be spread evenly across peanut butter, making for easy absorption by peanut oils. This should be common sense, the finer the material, the easier the cannabinoids settle into the peanut oil.

Hydrogenated fats/oils=Not cannabinoid soluble. In fact, hydrogenated fats are the result of hydrogenation, which adds hydrogen atoms to the once liquid fats/oils. Peanut butter containing hydrogenated fats is usually favorable for its texture, but is not compatible with my writeup. Imagine all those cannabinoids in a sea of partially solidified oil, no place for them to settle comfortable in to.


Questions are welcome, but just try and RTFM if something goes wrong with the process itself. This is simple chemistry folks, if you have any hopes of making any substance in the future, and have not done a simple nano weed-bake, good luck with figuring out more complex drug-related adventures.

Firecrackers.

I'm not sure if its been posted but I'll post it anyway.

Question:What are firecrackers?

Answer: They are peanut butter cracker sandwitches with marijuana.

Here is what you'll need to make them.

(for a strong high) 1gram+
(for a good high) .5 grams +
Peanut Butter
Crackers
Oven
foil

Directions.
Preheat your oven to 320*f
First break up your weed as well as possible. Once that is done put the weed into about 2 weaping tablespoons peanut butter. Mix it up well. Get the crackers and lay them down. Put some of the peanutbutter mixture on each cracker then cover it with another cracker. Making it like a cracker sandwitch.
Repeat till you have used up all your peanut butter. (use common sense when putting on the peanut butter -you should know how much is too much or too little).
Wrap it up in foil and put it in the preheated oved for 20-25ish minutes.


Side notes:
Eat theese on an empty stomach.
Don't under estimate the high you'll get. It does take long for it to hit you but once it does it feels like youve been hit by a train ^^.
For me if I eat them on an empty stomach I start feeling low effects after 30-45 minutes. And climax after 2 hours.
Climax stays for about 2 hours. And you come down after very slowly.
Overall the whole high can last 4-6 hours depending on variables (conditions).

I actually really like these, ive done it a couple times. the first time i tried it in the microwave and it tasted kinda bad but the oven works well.
 
i have a question regarding those peanut butter crackers...

are you possitive there's a difference bewteen using hydrogenated or non-hydrogenated oils? becouse you are eating the bud together with the cracker, so its not really like extracting the cannabinoids into the peanut butter gives much advantage... they all go to your stomach, wether they stay in the plant material or in the butter... THC doesn't have to be "on something" to be absorved... it just gotta BE.

my skunk/chronic tea recipe..v.easy v.trippy

this is probably better for your hardened smoker A: cos u will be able to handle how fucked up your gonna get B:you probably arent tight with your gear and want a big bang!

ingriedient:
cammomile tea bag
2 or 1 table spoon of honey
1 big fuck off sized starbuck cup!!!!!!you know the one i mean the kind only the obese would buy!!!!
3grams of skunk/hydro/sticky icky/whatever you call your gear lets not get pedantic!!(use less at your discretion but i like to get proper fucked!!!)

instruction:
carefully open tea bag,crumble out your gear finely ,fill the tea bag with the skunk(leave the cammomile in their it reduces the vomit factor)
boil water .....drop two table spoons (or less) of honey into the cup you are going to be using.put the tea bag in the cup.....pour on boiling water......allow to brewe for 5 -7 minutes.....

OH MY GOSH YOU REALLY WILL TRIP OUT.....HAVE FUN.....DONT DRIVE
