Can you just get something anyway? We weren't allowed to have pets in any of the units we lived in, and we had rats, fish, our lorikeet, and 3 cats

I have 2 cats that live with me (Emmie and Loki), and I have my first pet ever, the most awesomest kitty ever, living at my parents' house (she's 17 and needs more care than I can reliably give her with my school/work schedule). I also have a pink GloFish and a glasscat in a little 10-15ish gallon tank. Once I have a real house, I'm planning on getting a marbled Bengal cat, hopefully some more exotic animals (I really want a fennec and some semi-wild cats, but that'll require lots of room and a big yard), and a big saltwater fish tank. I'm totally down for whatever other animals might show up along the way - my home will be a zoo.

I have a rosetted bengal whose name is Sasha and I also have a black "mixed" breed kitty named Sister.

Pictures will follow tonight when I get home.

R&R - I HIGHLY recommend the bengal breed for anyone who wants an athletic and personable cat. Sasha is very high strung, with a very quick metabolism (she eats like a horse!!). She's pretty smart, it took very little prompting to teach her how to play fetch for example.

If you are interested I can PM you the info for the breeder that I purchased Sasha through.

No, I probably can't. A couple of my neighbors got a puppy & they were eventually kicked out. I recognize a puppy is a totally different world to some other sort of animal but I don't want to even risk it.

Plus, I signed the contract, I knew what I was getting into. I think it would be more unfair if I got an animal that caused allergies to whomever moves in here next (I really only want doggies).

I'll just have to wait 1 more year. Until then I'll just dote on my friends' pups.
